BENEATH THE FACADE Behind the façade of wealth and power, a web of secrets awaits. Chapter 78 Nyla’s POV It wasn’t supposed to happen like this. Not the crashing mug. Not the silence that followed. Not the way our pasts decided to collide without warning, right in Emily’s kitchen.

The sky was dark save for the moon that hung low in the sky it casts a strange glow over the kingdom. Inside the palace, the tension was real. It was the kind of tension that shook even the strongest of men. It was the usual Fortnight ceremony where the wizard takes a look into the future of the kingdom. The king and his subjects watched as he performed his rituals, making strange sounds and incantations. The wizard's screams echoed through the huge hall, a sound that would haunt the memories of those who heard it for years to come. "Doom! Doom is coming!" he cried, his voice trembling with fear. "A werewolf will bring ruin to us all!"

Marcus answered, his voice weak and bely more than a whisper. “Aw, what a sweet family reunion, it makes me sick.” Azazel spoke up. Daniel had forgotten he was even there, his only focus on his son. Azazel turned and snapped his fingers, as if from nowhere a lowly demon appeared with Azazel’s bag of torture devices, and a small table. Azazel quickly grabbed his bag and rolled it out on the table. The shiny chrome tools glowed orange from the reflection of a fire somewhere in the background. Slowly Azazel ran his fingers over the line of tools, trying to determine the best one that would inflict the most trauma. Finally his hand stopped on what appeared to be a very thin, short,flimsy blade.

- - - DAYA POV It’s the morning after since I’ve had the sense knocked back into me. Justin is a grade A asshole, and I’m going to kill him. Fuck him for trying to use the mate bond to get me on his side for whatever takeover he is planning. I’m in my apartment with Saph and Emmy, having an early breakfast before we meet with Darius and the rest of his team.

My arms are spread and my shirt open, and I hide my eyes. Since when is there so much light around me? It has to stop. I can't get used to this. I must continue to assume my role as a Don. I have to protect Santo, Matteo, and everybody. I have to make sure everyone is okay. I let my forearms slide over my eyes instead of my hands. This is a fucking disaster. I can hear the footsteps of my two little brothers entering and locking it behind them. I keep my forearms glued to my face, but I am pissed.

Alex stood up from his seat, before Raymond could say any further, he saw himself pinned against the wall, Alex hand flew to his neck, as he grabbed his throat, he watched Raymond fight helpless for a chance to breathe again, " If you mess with me using my mother's death, I will not only kill you, I will make sure you have a very painful death, burn your body, and scatter your ashes to the four corners of the earth, If you....."

No wonder the woman serving their foods was scared, she doesn't wish to lose her job here. "The one with short purple hair, her name is Summer while the brunette is Samantha.
