My Mate, My Bully
The weight of his words hits me like a punch to the stomach, and for a second, I freeze.
Dead. The word hangs in the air between us, heavy and suffocating. I look at him, and I see it ,genuine concern in his eyes. Maybe for the first time, I see it. But I can’t focus on that right now. I can’t. My mind is full of nothing but fear. It’s suffocating me, and every second we waste is another second closer to the ground.
The shaking gets worse, the plane jerking like it’s going to rip apart. The pilot’s already dead, and I don’t know how to fly this thing. I don’t know what to do. I don’t even know if I can survive this.
