DARIUS POV Two Weeks Later The full moon came and went. We never celebrated with a festival. Too many of my pack members were fearful that the full moon has become a bad omen. Following the attack from the Forza Pack, and Lyle’s death, nobody wanted to celebrate. I was disappointed, but I understood everyone’s concern.

The sound of his boots faded down the hall. I pressed my back against the wall and slid to the floor. My body was still shaking. Not from fear. Or not only from fear. When his teeth had grazed my mark, something inside me had ignited. A heat that started at my neck and poured down through my chest, my stomach, my thighs. My skin had tightened. My breath had caught. And for one terrible, honest second, I had wanted him closer. The Reaper. The man who’d killed his own family. The man who collected territories like other men collected debts.

Without finding out what happened to got down to work but was suddenly unconscious Just before she Fainted she saw the smirk on the face of the light goddess. When she opened her eyes again, she saw herserf tied up and faced a huge crowd, they all cursed her and called her a Demon. She watched the crowd faintly but never tried to defend herself, because she knew no one will believe her. She glanced at her fellow grim Reapers but they all moved their eyes away and never looked at her.

He got up and spread his arms, as though he was trying to say that he own the entire world, "I am a Stalza. And if you know about us," he said in a funny informing tone, "if you know then you would also know that we are anything but sweet and gullible people." He finished his little speech. She could not belive him at all. She was scared with sweat dripping off from her face and tears rolling down her cheeks. She was shuddering and he was busy in boasting about himself. "He is dangerous. They are dangerous." A sudden sense of urgency wrapped around her mind as she only had two options - Fight or Flight.

“You’re brooding again. It’s very sexy, but also very dramatic.” Nothing. Not even a flicker of a smile. I sighed and then pushed myself to my feet. The table brushed my butt as I tried to shimmy myself through the small space between it and his legs until I was standing between his knees. “Talk.” He looked up at me, eyes black with something that wasn’t lust or anger. Fear. “This is too dangerous, Valencia,” he said, voice rough. “One sniper. One mistake. One guard who looks the wrong way and you’re—”

Seeing Thalyx's arrogant expression, I knew he had been reborn like me. He assumed I still loved him deeply, which was why he spoke to me so arrogantly and domineeringly. "Don't tell anyone that you met me today! Lyra was just joking around. She had no intention of hurting me. If you spread rumors..." There was a snap, and a painful groan escaped his throat before he could finish speaking. After a few seconds of silence, Thalyx's mouth half-opened in shock as he looked fearfully at the whip in my hand.

My shoulders are tense, my posture a little too guarded. She deserves young. Uncomplicated. Easy. My stomach knots. I remember how she looked the last time I held her. Lips parted. Hair tangled. I couldn’t sit in this basement for three months, waiting to see if Lucian’s patience would snap, if he’d decide to kill me sonner. I knew him too well—his mind could shift in an instant, his mercy replaced by the cold brutality that earned him the name “The Reaper.” I had a life to return to, a job at the FBI where I’d finally earned respect as a special agent, a family who barely tolerated me, and a fiancée I loathed.

"I promise, I'd never turn my back on our pack. Far off, a commotion arose and sent a howling through the night. The pack was statue-still with pent-up tension. The rapid beating of Sophia's heart whirled her around in time to see, fear clutching at her. "What was that?" Ash whispered, his eyes wide with fear. "I don't know," she said, the fear setting in, "but we gotta find Dad!" As the sound got closer, Sophia felt her heart beating in her chest. The stakes couldn't get any higher than they did at that moment, and she knew they all were in danger. The Dark Moon pack wasn't a rumor but tangible danger.

“Something I never forgot. F.E.A.R. You either Forget Everything And Run… or you Face Everything And Rise.” Cheyenne lifted her head. “Today we didn’t run,” Tora continued. “We stood at the edge of the end of the world… and we’re still here.” “We rose,” Gunner said, stepping forward. “Then let’s keep rising,” Chelsea added. “For the world, for the packs, the covens, the broods, the thunders, the odysseys—for everyone who doesn’t even know how close they are to being lost.” Isolde smirked. “I’d rather die rising than live on my knees.”
