Like, if I'm nervous or sad or anxious I'll read a book that I know I like because I know how it ends. But if I feel good I read a new one, so I'll read a new one" She explains matter of factly before she turns her attention back to the device and scans through the nine new ones she hasn't read before.

Also, get Colleen Hoover's 'It ends with us' book for me, please. " Many people say that the book is a sad story, so I will try it. I really like novels with a sad theme. Maybe because I've experienced sadness and pain in my life, that's why I have the same taste when it comes to books.

We ended up taking eight books out of the store, a cheerful flush painted on her cheeks. I have to say, this whole taking her out thing was a good idea. Just seeing her happy over the simple act of shopping for books made me feel some type of way, and it was that same addictive feeling I felt when I saw her after she had her first hot shower in my apartment.

It was a small gesture, but it meant the world to me. As I read through the books he brought me, I found myself becoming more and more engaged. The stories were a welcome distraction from my thoughts, and I found myself losing myself in the characters and plotlines. It was a feeling I hadn't experienced in months, and it was a welcome respite from the darkness that had been consuming me.

God I love his laugh! It’s dangerous but everything about this man feels dangerous in the most unfairly attractive way possible. I pull one of the books halfway from the shelf before freezing.

“These novels from GoodNovel keep me sane from everything going on. And the stories on that site are really interesting. From page one, you wouldn’t even realize when you’ve reached page one hundred.” I shook my head helplessly. “How do you even get the books delivered?” “I subscribed to their membership. Every month, they send a delivery guy to bring one novel from my library.” “So what are you reading?” “Someone recommended this novel to me, ‘Bound to the Mafia’. And I kid you not, from page one, I’ve been hooked. I think you should read it too… you remind me of one of the characters.” “Mom! You know I don’t have time to read novels.”
