" the man said with a smile of his own. "I went to see Scarlet.." mother in law said looking at me, "But I couldn't really talk to her or introduce her to her Dad since she was kinder sleeping but anyway once she wakes up, tell her to come home.. " She held father in law's hand then looked at my parents with a giant smile. "You know this is breaking the laws of nature right?" Father in law chuckled while all of us looked on wondering what was so funny about my parents laying dead. "Yeah but they are nice people might as well bend the rules a little.." she grinned at him while he chuckled.

He caught sight of me and stood up immediately closing the distance between us, it was somehow startling me, that I wanted to run away from him and scream Grey’s name. “ I’m your father-in-law, you don’t have to be scared of me.” I didn’t know if I should trust his words, because I don’t understand his terms with Grey. Also I kind of sense that he didn’t like me that much for his son, how can I believe his words? Or I should ignore them and just scream for Grey’s help? “ Let’s speak as the father-in-law I am to you, and I smell how afraid you are of me. I just want to ask you to do something for me.” he lowered his face.

After a moment, the Great Father himself strode through. The Great Father was a large man, tall and wide and built like a linebacker. He was older than Billie's daddy, probably in his fifties, and he held himself like the son of God that he was. Unlike the other men of the compound, the Great Father wore all black, it set him apart and reminded everyone that he was their connection to the almighty, he was the reason they all lived together in harmony, why they'd devoted themselves to Father's Pride. He stood before them with his hands on his hips. "Girls, you have no idea how proud I am to finally have you all before me."

“Where… where am I?” The man shrugs casually. “Somewhere nobody will hear you.” He circles Eli slowly, like a vulture. “Try not to waste your energy. You’re going to need it.” Eli’s blood runs ice cold. “What do you want?” he forces out. His voice sounds smaller. Shaky. Pathetic. The man tuts, unimpressed. “Your boyfriend’s father wants you back in one piece. I’m just the delivery guy.” Eli’s breathing stops.

Then he looked at me one more time and said with his cold voice “We will speak later.” Hearing his cold voice a small chill ran through me but I nodded politely and said “Of course.” My future father in law turned and walked away. And the crowd slowly returned to normal. Isabella sighed loudly and said “He’s always like that.” I watched the man disappear into the crowd and couldn't help but say “Your father” I paused. I didn’t know how to say it without being rude but I continued “ he is intimidating.” Looking at my awkward face she laughed and said “You have no idea.”

The days without him had been cold and empty. I never planned to fall in love with an older man especially not my ex-boyfriend’s father. But Damien had shown me what true love really looks like. He came looking for me. He held me gently even when I tried to run. He told me he loved me with such soft, honest eyes. No one had ever made me feel this wanted before.

Father usually exits pretty quickly whenever he appears. “What? Oh, yeah, good morning,” Father spits out in a half-grumble. Alpha King Tobias Pennington is not known for his tact, and he’s particularly rude around his second son. He turns back to me. “Well, Zachariah, I’ll see you later today to see the ladies!” I get another overzealous whack, this time on the shoulder, and right on cue, Father turns to walk away, rubbing his hands together as if these women are for him. He’s probably salivating.

“What now?” Caleb pointed at Peter. “Since it’s your dad, that’s that.” I was so furious I almost laughed. “Isn’t my dad your in-law, too?” “So?” Caleb shot a contemptuous glance at my father’s plain clothes. His expression was filled with disdain. “He’s just my in-law. Meanwhile, my father has been a cadre his whole life. He’s an honorable and dignified man. Your father’s just some sort of farmer who scratches a living out of dirt. How can they be the same?”

he said in teasing tone and continued "By the way, you can call me mama (father in law)..After cleaning this, go and take rest.. I will inform malar.." "Okay sir..But varun sir told me to call you as sir.." I replied with hesitation "Don't worry.. I will talk him about it..You should call me Mama( father in law).. Its my order.. Okay...You also like my daughter"...his father Oops i mean mama told with smile.. "Okay mama".. I replied with a smile..

And now, she’s even moving weirdly. “My in-law,” her father said again. His voice alone irritates me. I detest standing with an irresponsible father-in-law who only thinks about money , status and power, he doesn’t care about the welfare of his children. I bet they don’t even know I pushed her off the staircase. And even if he does, he won’t say or do anything about it. “Money worshipper,” I muttered under my breath. “She’s awake,” I heard her mother say, her voice breaking the silence she had maintained since I walked in.
