The Alpha’s Love Came Late
Music played, something classical and haunting.
A woman waited for them at a center table.
She was beautiful, ageless, with dark skin and eyes that seemed to see through them. She wore a business suit that probably cost more than Ivy's car.
"Alpha Blackwood. Alpha Kane. Please, sit."
They sat cautiously.
"I am Nadia Okonkwo," the woman said. "And I am the current Director of the Prometheus Institute."
"The person trying to take our children," Ivy said flatly.
"The person trying to save your children," Nadia corrected. "There's a difference."
