Zara’s Pov The girl in the mirror didn’t look like someone who had eleven days to save her enrollment. She looked like trouble. Red lips. Smoky eyes. A body poured into scraps of black lace that left very little to imagination. I held her gaze for a moment and felt the familiar pull of that quiet vertigo of looking at yourself and not quite recognizing what looks back. Eleven days, I reminded myself. Don’t think past that. Weirdly, the wolf takes a step back, looking shocked once I’ve transformed, instead of capturing me like I had thought it would immediately. Instead, it begins transforming, bones shifting loud enough for me to hear and once all that black fur is gone and flesh is seen, it’s now revealed to be a female wolf. She stands up straight, and I’m standing right in front of a naked Xena.

Just like everyone was feeling like collapsing from fear the third climbed out. This one was slower, and gracefully. It was a female Zombie. Her body was lithe, almost elegant, but patches of fur clung to her decayed skin. A fox-like tail, half-rotted, dragged behind her. Her green eyes gleamed with cruel intelligence. Her lips parted in a grin far too wide. “Well,” she purred. “This will be fun.” Barbara screamed in terror. All three women frantic with fear. Gavin stepped forward— his face radiating confidence.

Archon flashed a picture of the wolf gigas he fought. "Archon thinks it's another gigas. I agree with him."

That operation was successful largely thanks to ophthalmology virtuoso Alistair, who performed an excellent corneal restoration. One would expect the young woman to be immensely grateful to Alistair afterward. Instead, she accused a doctor of indecently assaulting her in her hospital room. It sounded utterly implausible. Though it was a private room, medical staff and family members frequently entered. Had anything truly happened, even a slight call for help would have brought immediate attention.
