“Lucen—how could you—”
“I initially didn't want to do this,” I said, my voice projecting to every corner of the room, cold and absolute. “But you left me no choice.”
I didn't wait for his apology or his exit. I pulled out my phone and dialed the one number that could end a career in seconds.
“Blacklist Cale Garrison,” I said when the line picked up. “Immediately. Remove every asset, every connection, every invitation. I want him erased.”
I hung up. Cale’s phone chimed almost instantly. He answered it, and I watched the color drain from his face until he looked like a ghost.
