I order, gesturing to my father’s number two, “Donavon, with me.” I smell the first blood before it hits the ground, charging into the unfolding fight without pausing to shift. I refuse to lend any credibility to this chaos. Instead I storm through the battling factions on two legs, ripping wolves off of one another by the scruffs of their necks and throwing them across the rain soaked lawn.

Just cold, efficient violence. The clash spilled across the road. Ace whooped as he kicked a Fang off his bike, the body crumpling under spinning wheels. Rocco’s shotgun thundered. Nolan rode at the center, steady, commanding, cutting down any Fang that got too close. Ashley ducked low. The night stank of gasoline, blood, and gunpowder. A Fang broke through the line and lunged straight for her. His face was a twisted snarl, his knife flashing. Ashley froze.

This is a bloody fight and the clashes are becoming bloodier. Two of Fiona’s soldiers crash into me and I am forced to fight them at at once. One of them is trying to lock his arms around my neck while the other one is coming at my stomach. Quickly, I throw the first one over my back and then I spin, taking down the second one with a deadly bite to the neck. He drops, dead too. The fight rages on and even though I don’t know when it will stop, I certainly know that it will only stop once a side is defeated. My side is still holding on and very determined to win.

And why? — You're a jerk, Caccini! You offended me just because I wanted to repay what you did for me! Why the fuck were you bleeding like that? — I exclaimed in a tone that the words scratched my throat. — Who can get beaten up so much in a single night? They kept running harder and faster, the rain getting in their eyes and messing up their vision. Xavier used his free hand to push his wet hair backwards, stretching out his palm to hold a part of the train. The baggage car door was slightly open, as he gripped the handle and felt a sense of relief he heard the piercing sound of a bullet. He felt Vanessa’s hand slip from his hold. Vanessa felt a sharp pain in her back, dangerously close to her spinal cord. She stumbled on her feet and crashed to the floor. The train was gaining speed and so were Lord Fletcher and his men.

The battle started today. The red digits of the digital clock had just turned to six when Lennox opened his eyes. Not surprising—he'd been awake for half an hour already, unmoving. Lying in bed, he listened to the silence, broken only by his own breathing. The night still pulsed in his body. He'd hit the bag until his skin split. The bandage on his left hand throbbed slightly, but he ignored it. He wasn't here to be coddled.

I stood behind Dylan, flinching at every resounding blow, my heart racing as I desperately hoped he would come out victorious.

Another bloody fight quickly commenced. Flynn had always liked martial arts, and he was quite brave when it came to fighting, especially now, after finding out that he was a gravekeeper. However, the demolition and relocation team was made out of vicious thugs too. It was an intense fight. There were too many people from the demolition and relocation team and someone snuck an attack on Flynn. A bat hit Flynn hard on the head and he fell to the ground.
