Finding Light In Darkness Novels & Stories

The light surged forward, illuminating the battlefield and dispersing the darkness that threatened to engulf us. I felt the warmth of my pack surrounding me, their strength bolstering my resolve as we fought back against the encroaching shadows. As the light clashed with darkness, I turned to Eden, my heart swelling with love and pride. "Stay close to me!" I urged, my voice steady despite the chaos. "We will face this together!" I spoke to myself and kept blinking my eyes in dark, It was dark yet my overly excited brain asked me to find source of light, I took support of my hands and started walking in dark like blind man I walked and searched for just couple of minutes until I found a oil lamp placed on wall, I quickly searched its knob and gave it couple of whisk and push with a hope that it will light and thanks to lord… after just couple of more push it lighted up, flame of this oil lamp was not strong yet it was sufficient for me to find my way in this dark.

Heart beating under my ribcage with crazy number of bit per second,threatening to give up any second. No Please. At least I want to see the light before I die. Not in this darkness I want to die. But as if my pleas have no effect instead of granting me light, it turned darker if that is even possible.Darkness began to consume me. I would have screamed but I have no voice. Then suddenly as if some strong force is attracting the darkness, a thin ray of spark makes it's way and soon began to expand until it replaces the darkness . This sudden light makes me shut my eyes tight.But when I open them , what I see escalates my heart bit way faster than before if that is even possible.
