Older than me. The Shadow Alpha. I charged. He raised his hands and the ground exploded beneath me, roots rising like claws. But my fire burned through them. I leapt high, flames swirling around me like wings, and struck. Our powers collided midair in a boom that rocked the forest. For a heartbeat, I saw into him—his hunger, his jealousy, his hatred of the prophecy. Of me. And I let it consume me. The flame erupted. Light swallowed him whole. When the smoke cleared, nothing remained.

There was something glowing in my mind that was about to explode. The fleeting feelings of unknown was at the center of my thoughts. At this moment I am a prisoner in a free world. Every corners of my mind seemed to speak by themselves and my heart seemed to be in ablaze. I stared blankly at the bright light in house in daze. It was like my eyes were roving around for something which I was not there. Something beyond its reach it persisted and jammed my heart with queer thoughts. In this night, I felt like embracing somebody. My heart felt lonely and devoid while my whole body seemed into be in flames.

“I want your strength. Your roughness. Your cruelty. It’s the only thing that makes me feel alive in this madness.” He was quiet for a long time, staring into the fire. Then, with a voice low and full of quiet promise, he said, “I’ll help you through it, Sandra. No one else will touch you. I swear it.” She leaned her head on his chest, her voice soft. “Then I’m yours. At least for the storm.” Zod said nothing. But his arms tightened around her, and in that moment, the room fell silent…two broken souls bound not by love, but by pain, power, and a shared descent into the shadows.

The yearning to return home was overpowering, and I vowed not to take any of life's blessings for granted if I could just escape this nightmarish situation. Out of nowhere, yet another guard materialized, engaging in combat with Steven. This was spiraling too fast. Cassian smirked, though there was no humor in it. “You want a fight, fireborn?” The wind around him surged, and a bolt of lightning cracked across the sky. “Come and take your best shot.” Ronan didn’t hesitate. He lunged forward, flames exploding from his palms. The fire streaked through the air, a blinding wall of heat rushing straight for Cassian. But the storm met it head-on. A powerful gust of wind twisted around the fire, snuffing it out before it could touch Cassian. In the same instant, the sky unleashed a torrent of rain, soaking the ground, drenching them all.

He held a scythe in his hands that sent shivers to whomever looked at it. Then there was Lysandra Blaze, the Fire Seraph. Her flaming red hair matched the intensity of her pyrokinesis abilities. She was infamous for her volatile nature, a woman whose temper and fire abilities were both equally fierce. Beside her stood Ivander Gale, the Wind Seeker, his calm demeanor betraying the hurricane-like powers he could summon at will.

I will never let him touch you again. The flames surged high, swallowing the hollow in light, and Carson leapt forward onto the path, his roar clashing with Johan’s laughter. The ground shook, the shadows screamed, and the bond inside me burned so fierce I thought it would tear my chest apart. I closed my eyes against the fire, whispering through the bond, “Do not stop. Whatever happens, do not stop.” The path of fire shook under Carson’s steps, the flames rising high on both sides as if the realm itself wanted to swallow him. His body glowed faintly, the bond burning through him, his claws digging into the ground as he pushed forward.
