KENDRICK POV I paced the study like a wolf too long in a cage, each stride a poor attempt to burn off the unease building inside me. Kaiden stood by the hearth, arms crossed tightly over his chest. Stefan leaned on the desk while Andrea perched on the windowsill, her eyes locked on the symbol we'd all seen burned into Astrid's hand. "This can only mean one thing," Andrea finally said. She brushed him off and walked passed him towards the bed. My smile widens at his words. "Stop stalling, Amelia. Throw out what's repressing you from the inside out at once." She crosses her arms, making her breasts stand out more, and I drop my gauze, wondering what color her pout is. Damn, focus! She is the daughter of the enemy. It must be a card out of the deck. She is his ex-wife's younger sister and last but not least, she is eighteen years old. "What happened?" I resolve to cut to the chase and avert my eyes from temptation. His face turns into a disgusted frown, but he's still looking at me.

He smiled as he met her cross-eyed gaze, captivated by her nervousness and completely unapologetic for trying to steal a glimpse. They worked on different sides of the garage for the next three hours, but the tension between them was as fierce as the fire in her forge. He kept his gaze fixed on her, his mind racing.
