I walked right past her. She hurried after me. "I drove four hours, and that's the attitude I get?" "You can leave." That wiped the smile off her face. "Fine. You actually talk back to me now." She pulled two tickets from her bag and held them out. "Movie tickets. 9:50 p.m. The one we missed." I looked at them. "I don't want to see it anymore." Her smile froze. "Chris, I came all this way to win you back."

until I looked at him and saw his mischievous smirk, the dark glint in his eyes as he rubbed his palms together. Uh-oh. I glanced at Dylan his eyes were cold and fixed on Freddie, his expression unreadable. "I've got just one request," Freddie drawled, grinning. "An easy one at that-" "Yes? What is it?" Dylan cut in, sounding slightly impatient. "Give Dylan a lap dance," Freddie said. My eyes widened instantly. My jaw hit the floor. "WHAT?!" I gasped, utterly gobsmacked. "Yes! He's your husband. Makes it even easier," Gwen chimed in, grinning like a lunatic.

Every year, the week before the statewide college entrance exams, I had my parents empty fifty rooms at our hotel and hold them for my classmates, free of charge. Then the scores came out, and our class president, Natalie Reed, had bombed hers. She led the whole class online and claimed our hotel had run construction in the middle of the night on purpose, just to keep her from getting into college. The post went viral. The hotel was reported until it was shut down. My parents lost every cent they had saved, and their hair went gray overnight. Through all of it, not one of the fifty classmates who had stayed in our hotel spoke up for us. Then I opened my eyes, and it was the week before

One week after the spa day. Four and a half months pregnant. “Mama! I want to go play in the pool! Let me go!” Freddie is squirming all over the place, trying to break free from my arms so he can bolt out the kitchen door into the backyard of the Luciano estate. Okay, I can’t blame him. I’ve been holding him for five solid minutes, not quite ready to let go. “Topina, you have to let him go. We’re going to miss our flight,” Dante murmurs against my shoulder, his breath low and warm, sending a shiver straight down my spine.

Freddy swirled his finger there on her slit as he then leaned forward and then set to trying to impress her with the skill he had when it came to eating pussy. Though she tried to make to him feel good about his skills, she wasn’t that impressed. The fifteen minutes went by, and he almost whined that his time was up. “Now go out and come back in forty minutes.” “Awe, this part sucks,” Fredy said as he looked at the doctor. “Might suck but making her feel comfortable is more important.” the doctor said as he moved the other man to the door. He turned to Michelle as he closed the door. “Well, that was anti-climactic.” “It was,” Michelle said as she made a face.

Come on, come on, turn the radio on It’s Friday night, and it won’t be long Gotta do my hair, put my make-up on It’s Friday night, and it won’t be long ’Til I hit the dance floor, hit the dance floor I got all I need No, I ain’t got cash, I ain’t got cash But I got you, baby Baby, I don’t need dollar bills to have fun tonight (I love cheap thrills) Baby, I don’t need dollar bills to have fun tonight (I love cheap thrills) Loud music was playing in the car. He was clapping and driving along to the music. He was also singing along with the singer. He was a carefree guy. A perfect example of a womanizer, who has a lot of women in his life. He has charms. He knows how to charm the pants of women

In the final second before everything went black, I made out the words. “Trisha, you really did steal it.” … I had no idea how long had passed before I woke up, freezing. The TV was still playing some loud holiday comedy skit, but the house was empty. I pushed myself up from the floor and touched the back of my head. The blood there had already dried and matted into my hair. I glanced at the time. It was past ten at night. Stumbling, I made my way out the door, planning to take a cab to the nearest hospital.

Maybe I should see a doctor. My legs felt weak as I staggered to the door. My right hand reached for the doorknob, but it wouldn't open. Gavin had actually locked it from the outside. Not done with my pain, I felt my stomach churning. I hadn't eaten since morning, and it was already 3 pm. Whether I fainted or fell asleep earlier, I don't really remember. I only remember thin flashes and Gavin's punches; after that, everything was dark. I had to get out. I could die if I stayed here.

"She's used to me giving in. Let her go hungry for a few days. Once reality hits, she'll come crawling back and admit she was wrong." That evening, Ronin came home to an empty apartment. No smell of dinner. No slippers by the door. Just cold floors and silence. He opened the bedroom closet. Nearly half of it was bare. Everything left was his. After five years, Helen had packed her entire life into one suitcase and disappeared. The emptiness got under his skin. His phone rang. Nordica Hospital. "May I speak with Ronin Dudley? We have your annual physical results. A few came back abnormal, so we'd like you to return tomorrow morning for follow-up testing."
