Not normal flame, silver, alive, wrapping my hands like liquid light.
It burned without heat, shimmered without smoke.
It wasn’t me controlling it, it was as if it recognized the danger and acted on its own.
The rogue screamed, stumbling back as the silver fire lashed out, grazing his chest.
He fell, convulsing, the scent of scorched air filling the clearing. The others faltered, whispering in panic.
