He intensified the ferocity of his dark beams and continued encasing the child within it. Jasmine began to slowly burn up and parts of her body were becoming dust. She descended back to the ground but Kari didn’t end the stream of his beams. Jasmine roared as she became engulfed in flames and the fire spread from her through the cracks in the earth. Damian stared at the young man, then slowly looked back at me as the truth settled between us. The young man stepped forward again, and this time Damian did not stop him. He looked at me carefully before reaching out, his hand trembling slightly as his fingers brushed against mine, and the moment we touched, the First Flame erupted through both of us. The girl that I had just learned her name smiled at Olivia. So her name was Rayne? I liked it; it was unique. She had a really beautiful smile that could captivate any man.
