I sat there looking out of the window. I can't believe what my life have become. Soon I heard the door unlock. A girl, may be 5'5" In height and pettite figure came inside with a tray. She smiled sweetly at me. Her smile was so contagious that even in these times I couldn't help but smile. "Hi" She said. "I am angle" She hand me the water. I gulped it down. "How are you? " She ask placing the back of her hand on my forehead.

The girl that I had just learned her name smiled at Olivia. So her name was Rayne? I liked it; it was unique. She had a really beautiful smile that could captivate any man. I needed to snap out of it, I needed to ignore her breath-taking beauty and how her long brown hair fell on her shoulders as it framed her face making her look bewitching. I was doing such a great job at ignoring her beauty.

I asked with my brows furrowed. "Rude," she muttered under her breath. "I'm Mink's third, name’s Kashmira Shaw but people here just call me Mira. And you two bromancing couple must be Rhys and Zyane, Mink and Aya's potential mates respectively." She said the last part with a dramatic eye roll, while Zyane jumped ten feet away from me at the "bromancing couple" comment. She was hot with an hourglass figure, I would give her that and if I hadn't met Mink I would be finding a spare room right about now, but now that I have met Mink, no one else holds my interest and I doubt anyone ever will.

He says, smiling as big as he can and leaning back in his chair. "I would like to introduce you to Ivy. My mate and your future, Luna." I tell him with a bite at the end. I know how he is. He is my best friend, after all. But, unfortunately, he likes the ladies a little too much, so I need him to know she is mine. I hate it for him when he finds his mate. He tells her, sticking his hand out to shake hers and still smiling like a kid who got candy.

If you and your family try to hurt Rose, I will hurt you severely.” Isaac fully turned to the teenage girl and looked at her tiny body up and down. She merely reached up to his chest level. He squinted his eyes at her warning. “Oh really! Well, I would like to see how you would hurt Isaac Sokolov, Shorty!” He smirked. Mia gaped at him. How dare he call her shorty. She was five feet three inches, quite a cool height of her age and this idiot insulted her.

“You need to run, Luna. You need to hold on to him and run.” I heard her say as she encouraged her. Marissa, Tatiana, pushed her toward the window. I watched, paralyzed, as Evelyn leapt through it with Damon in her arms. Then the fire surged. I saw my Tatiana’s hands pressed against the glass, skin blistering, eyes locked on mine. And then… The floor gave way. Her body vanished into the flame. And all I had left was the sound of my men shouting, and the last memory of her eyes, filled not with fear, but with peace.

But behind that steady rhythm, I still heard the faint whisper of the flame… like a second heart beating inside me. You can’t hide from me, child of fire. My eyes snapped open. The fire on the hearth suddenly flared, golden light filling the room. The shadows disappeared—and in the middle of the flame, I saw her. A woman’s face. Pale, beautiful, and terrible. Her violet eyes met mine through the fire. She smiled. And then the flame went out. The room plunged into darkness. I stumbled back, gasping. Damon lit a lantern quickly, scanning the space. “Elena? What did you see?”

Her breath trembled as something inside her cracked—not with breaking, but with release. She closed her eyes, drawing the wildfire closer, not to crush it, not to run—but to face it. The whispers tore at her, but she pushed back with her own voice, raw and burning: “I am not your kindling. I am not your ruin. I am flame, and flame is mine to carry.” The wildfire shuddered, sparks bursting outward like a thousand tiny stars. The dark edges burned away, leaving only fierce, golden light that wrapped around her like a mantle.
