It sounded like the turning of the very first page ever written. A warm wind rose from the endless abyss. It carried no scent. No dust. Only memories. Millions of them. Adrian suddenly saw countless lives flash before his eyes. A child writing his first poem. An old woman finishing the final chapter of her diary. A lonely traveler sketching forgotten cities. A soldier writing one last letter before dawn. Every story... Every dream... Every unfinished thought... Flowed through the endless darkness below. The white feather in Adrian's hand began glowing. Its light pushed back the shadows surrounding the staircase.

Edwin got so tired of me asking him to work that he just started hanging out and playing cards while supposedly working. His paycheck? It was exactly 1,200 dollars, the same amount I gave his mom for her expenses. Hence, she could not help Mandy anymore. Mandy was fed up. Her husband was a gambler and offered no help at all, and she was expecting another baby. They really needed the extra 1,050 dollars each month, and without it, they were struggling. When her husband did not win any money, he would take it out on her.

They didn’t know the half of it. For weeks, something had been changing inside me. It wasn’t just the sharper senses, though that was part of it. I could hear a heartbeat from across the hall. Smell rain before the clouds even formed. I could hear the scrape of a dagger being drawn three rooms away. And then there were the other things. The flashes. Sometimes they were images a wolf I didn’t recognize standing at the edge of the packhouse, a moon bathed in crimson light, my own hands stained red. Other times, they were words phrases in a language I didn’t know but somehow understood in my bones. Words that tasted ancient, heavy, inevitable.

She wrote with a frantic, desperate intensity. As the charcoal scratched against the paper, something strange began to happen. ​The grey fog surrounding their rock began to shift. The words she wrote—a cool breeze, a golden orchard, the sound of rain—didn't just appear on the page. They manifested in the air. A gust of wind, smelling faintly of damp earth and blooming jasmine, swept across the barren rock. The static in the sky above them parted, revealing a fleeting, illusory image of a golden orchard bathed in twilight.

At the moment of impact their heads were both out of the driver's side windows when they cracked together, leaving the unmarked cars to roll gently to a halt 200 yards apart. I don't own any of this stories. I found them in some creepy books. I'm thinking of writing my own scary stories, but not anytime soon. She could feel the sun on her neck and the weight of the sword in her hand as it hit flesh. Flash: a barbarian running through the trees, screaming. Her heartbeat thundered in her chest, her breath coming in ragged gasps. Flash: the hacked and bloody body of the barbarian lying on the ground at her feet. She could smell the bitter iron of fresh blood in her nostrils; the swollen, dry taste of fear was in her mouth. The silence of the forest surrounded her, heavy and smothering. Flash: two red spots floating in the shadows underneath dense treetops, a ground shaking growl shattering the silence. Flash: black fur and teeth flashing in her face, searing pain crushing her chest, a ragged scream

screams escaped me, soon my screams where replaced with the roar of a white wolf. Though it didn't last long ,the bones snapped again as I hovered 6 feet in the air. Now shifting back to a very naked human . I fell back weakly , though didn't fall to the ground. As if their was no gravity,staying suspended 6foot in the air. Soon my vision blured as my eyes caught fire, and the bones in my body shattered all at once . The when I thought it couldn't get worse they fused back together.
