Billionaire's Pampered Wife

Billionaire's Pampered Wife

The waiter took them to an attic on the second floor. An elegant wooden house was built in the attic on the second floor. There were flowers and plants in front of the wooden house, as well as a row of roses. Although in November the flowers had withered, the lush green still looked pretty, blocking the view of high-rise buildings. It gave one a different kind of vibe to the place. "Mr. Milton, what would you like to order?" the waiter asked respectfully. "Four sets of crab roe pastries. I want to take away six sets. I also want two bowls of mushroom soup," Jasper said.

The mounds of goods loomed in the gloom like icebergs to the north. They continued through the room and up again to a higher floor. Rain thought they were already on the roof of the building. Ben opened the door of what appeared to be a greenhouse. The smell immediately ambushed them gently. There was a rich, dark smell of earth and a more robust, lingering smell of night flowers, such as trumpet moonflower, white angel flower, and four o'clock flower. Rain saw even more flowers she didn't recognize. They entered a glass house surrounded by glass walls. Rain could see the glow of Westlake Lake burning like frozen pearls. The decorative lights installed around the lake make the place beautifu

Grimaldi's Blood and Vows

She was just here a while ago but suddenly disappeared. "She’s in the garden, Sir," one of the housemaids answered. I nodded and went straight to find my wife. I found Arietta there. She was admiring the flowers that were now in full bloom. "What are you doing here?" I asked as I couldn’t resist and immediately hugged her from behind. Arietta smiled at me and continued watching the flowers. "Nothing, just getting some fresh air." As she said this, a strong breeze blew. "I also noticed those flowers. Some of them have wilted, so I removed them."

Night Flower

It was a reliable constant. "Not in the way people are," he continued. "She manages it. Actively. There's something underneath it, she's not indifferent, but what she shows is controlled rather than suppressed. The difference is in the eyes." I leaned back in my chair. Outside the window the grounds were doing what they did in late autumn, going bare and gray and cold, the kind of afternoon that arrived early and intended to stay. The trees along the east wall had dropped most of what they were going to drop. The training ground was empty at this hour. The compound was running at its usual pace around the disruption of having an unknown female in my bedroom, which was a sentence I had not an

Chapter 19 – Brewing Magic Selene’s POV The attic door creaks open, and I’m instantly enveloped by a wave of rich, layered scents... floral, earthy, and tinged with the faintest trace of citrus and spice. My breath catches in my throat. I blink once, twice, to be sure I'm not imagining it. This isn't the dusty, unused attic I remember.

Sir Ares, Goodnight!

Sir Ares, Goodnight!

Jenson’s shaky voice suddenly echoed in Rose’s head. Unable to sleep, Rose got up and dressed herself. Then, she tiptoed up the stairs. Jenson was not the only one panicking about the secret behind the attic, for it agitated her as well. Who was the woman in the attic? … As the Fragrant Vessel Court was built following the characteristics of classical overlapping architectures, its rooms were built intricately and were naturally dim. Pushing open the door in front of the handrail, Rose entered the room and closed the door behind her.

Married To My Fiancé's Enemy

Married To My Fiancé's Enemy

"It’s a bit... tight, Lila. I hope His Majesty doesn't mind sharing a bed that doesn't have a remote control. It’s the only room left." "Tight" was an understatement. The attic room had slanted, low ceilings with exposed oak beams that Adrian had to duck under just to move. There was a single, heavy oak bed that looked like it had been handed down through five generations, covered in a thick, handmade floral quilt. A small window stood open, letting in the sound of crickets and a cool breeze that carried the scent of night-blooming jasmine.

The Broken Alpha

The Broken Alpha

Not against him. Then Atticus saw a crop of dead flowers. Their stems were a fresh, bright green, but their petals had wilted and withered until he could not tell what colour they had been before. Flowers were a change from the endless rolling fields he’d spent the better part of the morning marching through, so he went to them with an eagerness he had not displayed since he had been a child. Save for Lily’s eighteenth birthday, a dark part of his mind whispered snidely. Save for when you had a chance at love – before you ruined it all.

I Don't Remember Loving You, Alpha

I Don't Remember Loving You, Alpha

Elaine "Oh, come on! What the hell is this?” I managed a crooked smile, attempting to convey my disapproval as I glanced at Anita, who seemed entertained by the spectacle unfolding before us. This morning, we were greeted by an array of assorted flower bouquets that lined the corridor up to my desk. I couldn't help but roll my eyes and fold my arms, confronted with the floral display that resembled a garden. Every imaginable kind of flower was present, from roses to tulips. The corridor looked like it had been transformed into a florist's shop. All that was missing was a cash register and I would be ready to open this “flower shop.”

The Return of Luna

The Return of Luna

The maidservant probably learned something. The young maidservant cheerfully entered with the flowerpot. Emma glanced at it briefly; it was a pot of lilies. Emma absentmindedly plucked a lily and gently brought it to her nose. She noticed that this wasn't the scent of ordinary flowers; it had an exceptionally unique fragrance. Upon closer examination, these lilies were crafted from silk thread, with gold and silver thread embroidered onto them. Each flower and leaf were adorned with glass beads, faint yellow, light green, or pale pink, subtly hidden within the blossoms, not easily noticeable but capable of making the flowers seem to radiate.
