##Chapter 101 Enemies Are Back Michelle's POV The sun casts a warm, golden glow over the landscape, bathing everything in light. Birds chirp merrily, and a gentle breeze rustles through the leaves, carrying the scent of blooming flowers. Lucian crossed his legs and read the magazines leisurely on the sofa and closed the bed. “It's a beautiful morning” I grunt lazily as I crawled towards him. “Morning baby” he dropped the magazine he was reading. He carried me up, and placed me on his lap.

Lucius is going to get hurt by the fact that he isn't as strong as Stephen is. My face turned pale as I stared at those who were seated close to the ring, and my eyes landed on that of Alpha Aiden, who has a smirk on his face. He stared at me with a smile, which I found creepy. His eyes pierced through mine, and he looked at me like he could read through me. I could feel goosebumps form on my body. He pointed his hand at Lucius and made a gesture with his hands, which he made like he wanted to cut his head off.

Every gaze around us immediately snapped toward me. Disgust curled violently inside my chest. Ever since Misha and Tina died, the only thing I had truly been able to feel was grief, but now embarrassment and anger flooded through me so hard it almost made me shake. How does someone as foolish and pathetic as Lucienne become a lady? “All you’ve done since entering this pack is bring trouble,” she continued loudly. “First the lycans. Then the vampire. Now two maids died because of you. Are you some plague sent here to kill all of us?”

Something flashed in his eyes, but it was gone right after. "Did you hear me?" Alycia repeated, "You are nothing but a coward, Lucien. Why? You feel you are superior because you are Lycans. I know you are just projecting, because you realized the moon goddess made the mistake of pairing us as mates, right? You think you are...." Her voice cracked badly, and her lips trembled in silent sobs, unable to complete her statement. Alycia yanked her arms from him almost immediately. Turning on her heel, she headed straight towards the door, and bolted out.

Mist curled around the camp as she walked to the clearing’s edge, restless energy thrumming in her chest. “You couldn’t sleep either?” She turned to find Lucien standing there, arms folded, his crimson eyes watching her like a hawk. “Something about you,” he said quietly, “ain’t sittin’ right in my head.” Junie crossed her arms, her voice steady. “Meaning?” “You move too fast for your age. Your senses… sharpen quicker than most fledglings. And the way folks look at you…” He tilted his head slightly. “They’re drawn to you. Like moths to a flame.”

Hell, maybe he could even get his own spinoff. Leah flitted off to work with an extra cinnamon roll, and I was left alone in the apartment. It was still morning yet, so I had time to kill. I elected to curl up on the couch with one of the lycan books Blair sent with me. It was unusual to get a book from Blair that was not old, leather bound, and smelled of dust and aged paper. This one was the most interesting by far because it was a paperback that looked to be written within the past decade or so. It looked too… normal. It had a publishing date and everything.

After Lucianne kept Liam’s rocket ship in the glove compartment of the car, Juan led the entire party to the far side of the pack, near their river. This was where Lucianne would come to on her 4 a.m. runs when she still lived in Blue Crescent. She’d sit right next to that boulder that had some blood stains now. Lucianne’s predatory eyes started looking for a trail, and found a few more drops here and there on the ground and dried leaves.

When Lucien’s assistant forwarded the photos to him, his eyes froze the moment they landed on the words: Mate-Bond Termination. His hands trembled as he tapped to open the image, and the second he saw that familiar face in the photo, it felt like he’d been struck by lightning. Then came the follow-up message from his assistant. “Luna Mia’s flight was the one that crashed…” Lucien staggered back a step before collapsing to the floor, the phone slipping from his grip. He could not believe that I, who was fine just that morning, was gone now?

But Lucien spoke first, his voice liks knives piercing my skin. “You are wondering why I am here again Little Luna, after you got me thrown out ,” he said. He smiled his fake smile. “Do not worry. I was invited. One of the lycan guests invited me to discuss a business deal. A very important deal. So you see, I have every right to be here.” His eyes looked me up and down. They felt dirty on my skin. I remembered his hands on me in my past life. I remembered the knife.

Please know that I am safe and sound. I had a little accident on my way home but I am fine now. I just needed some time to rest and recuperate. I have been unable to reach the Alpha so please convey my apologies to him and let him know that I am truly sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused. Take care, Lucienne.”
