Hard to believe I’m days away from popping. My stomach is stretched far too much, my back aches, the fake contractions have me freaking out, and my feet are like balloons. I’m ready for the Little Nightmare to come out. The nickname Little Nightmare seems to be sticking. It’s slightly fitting as her father is a demigod of death and her mothers is a lycan. These are definitely two things that would give normal people nightmares, and Everly is a combination of those things. We decided to call her Ever as a cute nickname and Little Nightmare as her nickname for when she is driving us crazy.

I see with horror pictures of the men who are part of my daily life and me. They are all there. From the old newspaper vendor on the corner to the food delivery man. From the maintenance man to the manager of my company. The bastard remains silent and just watches my reaction. I swallow hard because that's the effect all the men in this damn Family have when they target someone: dread. The chilling fear. The kind that makes you freeze in place and forget which Saint to beg for help. When the men of the Family want to get something, they send capos. When they still don't get it, they send Santo. Nobody says no to Santo. At least, those who did say no are no longer in this world to tell.

Nicholas walked through the battlefield and stood before the limping Naster. “Is this all you got? Naster Fangs? Aren’t you the prideful product of science and nature?” Nicholas taunted. “Show me your true color murderer.” Naster could feel his blood boil in anger as he screamed in pain, his body burning, and soon lost his sanity as the soul of countless wolves took over his body.

I had never seen him nervous and scared of anything but today he looked unsure about everything. "Who is he?" I asked taking a glance at the man on the floor. “He is the only brother of Beckham Grayson,” he stated and continued, “he is a ruthless mafia and when he finds out that you’ve killed his brother, he will kill you." He finished I detected fear in his voice. That kind of fear I've never seen in my uncle. I refused to run away and held my ground but I didn’t get much choice when they both consistently told me to get away from here.

He began. She didn’t say anything, simply staring at him and wondering what he could possibly be thinking or planning. He was an unpredictable man so she couldn’t even try and guess what his next move could possibly be. He had a bored look on his face like he had other important places to be. Better people to intimidate. “It’s really a surprise seeing you here. Luna of Silver Bay Pack, Annaverita Statham. It has a pretty nice ring to it if you really think about it.”

Not with contestants or nightmares, but people. Men and women in travel-worn clothes, warriors with dented armor, healers clutching satchels, children clinging to parents who look just as confused as they do. Creatures too, fae with dulled wings, horned beings I don’t have names for, shifters half-shifted and blinking like they’ve just woken from a long, terrible dream. They’re talking all at once. “Where are we?” “I was in the forest…” “The maze, did anyone survive?”

"Greta is a Far Darrig. It is possible that she controlled the nightmare that plagued your wife. Whether it was a job assigned to her by the Queen I am unsure, but I am certain she was behind it." There were so many people here that I didn't recall having met Greta personally. I was confused. In all the books Wendy and I had studied they described a Far Darrig as a man that resembled a leprechaun but always wore a red coat and matching top hat. Silly I know but all legends have some variation of truth to them. Some say they steal children while some say they simply create nightmares specific to a person's individual fears. Given the details of my nightmare I was leaning more towards the last

Ryan suggests, tacking on a hasty, “no offense, Your Majesty.” “He doesn’t get to take offense in here,” I remind Ryan. “Remember, this is informal.” “Well, who has better handwriting?” Nathan demands, annoyed. He sits in the chair next to mine. I just shrug. “Not me, that’s for sure.” Hannah gets up, erases the nightmare scribbles, and sets about making three columns. She titles them, “werewolves,” “thralls,” and “unknown.” “She was born for this,” I whisper to Nathan.

Killian said, but I had already dozed off and fell asleep in his arms. The next day, the nightmares became even more intense. My mate was having sex with not just three, but four women in front of me. I was so damn scared and petrified because it made my body weak. How cruel Lycan Steven is! I hate him so much! Killian was the one who accompanied me every single night through my nightmares. I couldn't bear it anymore, so I created a death note inside a box, accompanied by a sketch of my dreams, and sent the box to the Lycan royalty's mansion.
