Novelas y relatos de Forever Faithfully

The tiny, folded slip of paper , Ethan Grant’s phone number , had become my personal religion. For fourteen agonizing days, it had lived tucked deep inside the stitching of my uniform apron, a burning coal against my skin. Two weeks. I had survived two weeks of perfect silence, two weeks of scrubbing floors and polishing secrets, pretending the warm pressure of his lips on my cheek had been nothing but a fever dream.

My voice at first quavered, and I didn’t notice my tears swell in my eyes just as I continued. “I will cherish and love you today, tomorrow, and forever. I will trust you and honor you. I will laugh with you and cry with you. Love you faithfully through the best and worst. Through the difficult times and in ease. To follow you through hell and back. Even if you fall, I will help you rise. Whatever may come, I will always abide by your side and never leave. As I have given you my hand to hold, to love, and to own, so I give you my life to keep. Till death and beyond.”

It was the taste of a future built entirely in the light. "Forever," Victor murmured against my mouth, a dark, resonant vow that vibrated straight through my soul. "Forever," I echoed, closing my eyes and surrendering completely to the dizzying, beautiful reality of our shared eternity.

He slowly takes my hand, placing a light kiss as a drop of tear falls on my palm “In this life time, in the next, or the next after, no matter how many times I am to be reborn, I would love you like I have always loved you, ‘ALWAYS AND FOREVER,” he says, as he calmly drew in his last breath.

Luke informed her “Ohhh……” She laughed, then said “Baby, thank you! I love you!!!” Her soft lips touched his “I love you too!” Luke replied, “US, FOREVER ONE!” He lifted her and brought her to the master bedroom……

Claire whispered with a soft smile as tears welled up in her eyes, "I'm scared. I'm afraid to think that my life will always be this happy." "You will always be happy, I promise," Alex replied earnestly. "Do you promise never to leave me? I'm too afraid of losing you. My worst nightmares are when you leave me alone. I don't know what to do without you." Claire sobbed, causing Alex to stop playing and turn to embrace her. "Claire," Alex whispered softly, feeling the warmth of Claire's body. "I promise never to leave you. I promise I will always be here for you." Alex took a deep breath and gathered the courage to continue, "Until death do us part."

Maybe it was the way he talked — confident, cocky even, like he’d already decided I was his. Love bombing? I didn’t know the term back then. I just knew it felt good. He moved fast. Messages turned to FaceTime. FaceTime turned into “Come over.” And “Come over” turned into full-blown obsession — or what I mistook for love. He called me “his peace.” I remember how he’d say it like a confession. “You’re not like the others. You calm me down.” I wore those words like a badge. I started skipping church just to spend Sundays in his bed. I stopped hanging out with my girlfriends, the ones who raised eyebrows and whispered, “Be careful, babe.”

he reads, “is to pass to my granddaughter, Sera Calloway.” For one second I let myself feel it — relief, pure and stupid and premature. Vera's mouth flattens. Good. I let myself have that too. Then Mr. Okafor keeps reading, and something in his voice tells me the sentence isn't finished. “—subject,” he says, “to the following condition.” Vera's mouth curves back up. Of course it does. She's not patient because she's a good person. She's patient because she already read this. I'd bet the whole company on it.

One day at a time. Together. The way they'd always promised. The way they'd always meant to. Forever. Their forever. Built on love and trust and the absolute certainty that whatever came next, they'd face it side by side. Alpha and his mate. Partners in everything. Just as they'd always been. Just as they'd always be. Forever.
