Ashes of Six

Ashes of Six

And those people, the Beech family, were the monsters. Justin and Lela Beech were the kind of foster parents that people make horror movies about. You know the psychological horror where the villains hide in plain sight and no one ever suspects them. The kind of horror movie that either ends with a survivor making it out and stopping them, or that ends with no survivor to tell the truth. They collected foster kids like Pokémon cards. And honestly, it’s not a far-off comparison as they used us for their own ends.

Escaping The Mafia Devil

Escaping The Mafia Devil

Pablo scowled. "Don't worry, she's not. It's not like I'm hiding my past anyway. Neither am I ashamed of it. I was young and did stupid sh*t, but hey, we're all guilty of that." I shrugged. "Foster homes weren't really my thing, so I tried to ditch them. I did some crazy things. One time, I acted like I was possessed by a demon so one of the foster parents who were very superstitious would return me.” I grinned.

They Chose My Foster Sister, I Built My Own Life

They Chose My Foster Sister, I Built My Own Life

On the night of the final showcase for the three-year designer development program, my parents weren't in the family seats reserved for me. They were sitting at the VIP table with Sophie, my foster sister. My boyfriend, Adrian Cole, was giving interviews in a silver-gray outfit that matched hers. A reporter smiled and asked, "You're both headed to New York, and tonight you're even dressed as a couple. Did the two of you plan that?" The people around them whooped. Adrian only smiled. "We've known each other for years. We have similar taste." No one knew that the dress Sophie was wearing was mine. I'd drafted the pattern and sewn the dress myself, and Adrian and I had planned our matching outf

My family Chose My Foster Sister, Then I Died

My family Chose My Foster Sister, Then I Died

By the time I was diagnosed with end-stage heart failure, UNOS had finally matched me with a donor heart. My foster sister Isabella had the same condition, but no donor heart had been found for her. My family had heard somewhere that if I signed a voluntary waiver giving up the transplant, the heart would go straight to her. For three straight months, my parents refused to pay a cent toward my care to pressure me into signing. They told anyone who would listen that their own daughter was selfish enough to take away her sister's only chance to live. My older brother Howard came to my room and tossed the waiver onto my bed. "Isabella just got into a top university. She has her whole future ahe

His Outcast Mate (Book 4: The 'His' Series

“Explain that to me, Sinclair. I thought you had a family growing up.” “It’s just like it sounds, Adrian. See, sometimes, the state doesn’t have enough room for kids in the system. They rely on families to take kids in and care for them, while they try to find us permanent homes. The state would pay those families for watching over those kids. Sometimes, if a kid is really lucky, the foster home will adopt the kid. I wasn’t that lucky, though.”

Love the story. I was so gutted for Adrian and Amber. Not sure why, but their story really got to me and made me sad. I wish both could have had their own happy ending or figured it out. But I’m happy that Adrian moved on with Sinclair and they are happy. Looking forward to the ending.

Make a wish

Make a wish

My favorite is "The Originals" My stomach mumbled and mumbled but I ignored it, keeping my face fixed on the TV. I was tempted to go to the kitchen and a grab a bag of popcorn and a can of coke but I had to stay strong, I don't think I can handle another round of beating. After the movie ended, I got up and waddled to the house feeling bored. I stopped right in front of Joshua's bedroom. The only time I got his room is when I usually clean it. I stepped right pass his room and decided to go the basement instead. The basement was a little dusty which means I won't have a hard time cleaning it. I brought the box that contains my toys and board games. Signing I placed the box back on the shelf

Am I Married?

Am I Married?

My foster home told me I was found in empty apartment when I was around two weeks old. That apartment was not registered under anyone's name. It was open for sale for like two to three months. The next-door neighbor found me there and contacted the foster home right away and they took me in. They told me no one came for me. Orphanage tried like they do for every kid who have fate like me, but nothing worked. The identity of my parents is a forever mystery. And I'm not curious anymore. I have passed that stage.

The Return of Luna

The Return of Luna

Emma whispered, "Is my brother going mad?" "Since I was young, I was just a discarded child from my birth parents. I didn't know who I was or what my identity was. My foster mother found me outside the temple. There was nothing else on me when she saw me apart from that gem ornament. My foster mother devised a plan to conceal my background to prevent others from doubting my identity. She officially adopted me and gave me a home. Even though no one in the house likes me, I don't need that. I just wanted a family. What should I do now if even my foster mother is gone?" His voice grew softer.

Agent 64

Agent 64

I ended up in the foster system. The first foster home seemed fine at first. They had several other foster children, all girls, and on the surface, everything appeared normal. But as time went on, their true colours began to show. The foster father was a violent drunk, and the foster mother, though less physical, was verbally abusive, berating us daily, drilling fear into us. We were merely bodies filling space in their home, a paycheck to fuel their own lives. But that was not the worst of it.

Forbidden Friendship

Forbidden Friendship

“What drew you into their world? I’ve never heard of a fairy without wings, let alone one who ventures so far from the territories.” I hesitated, the memories clouding my mind for just a moment before I found the words. "I was never like the others. No wings meant I was different, and not in the good way. I was an outcast without a real place in their world." My voice dropped, almost a whisper now. “But meeting Winter and Lily changed everything. They made me feel like I belonged for the first time.” A flicker of understanding passed over Rykor’s face, something profound shifting behind his eyes. “It sounds like you’ve found your family,” he said, the statement laden with reverence.
