I move closer. “Promise me you won't get in trouble with all these fights.” I said. He stared back, frowning at me. “Pinky promise” I grabbed his arm. “Fine, I promise, ” he scoffed. “That doesn't dismiss the stunt you pulled today.” I nodded. “Well that makes us equal.” I smirked.

His face goes grim, and he motions for me to come closer. "There's at least four of them in there," he whispers. "And they're armed." My heart sinks. Four against two doesn’t sound like great odds, especially if they are armed. But I can't just give up. Not when Nora's life is on the line. "We have to take them out," I whisper back. "How?" Brynn whispers. Marlow cracks his knuckles. "Easy. I'll shift and take care of them." I give him a hard look. "I'm glad you figured out what your powers are, but let's be reasonable. You can't take them all on."

If one thing could be said, it was that Jormungand had presence. “You can go in.” The other said. “No weapons.” He commented pointing at her blade. It was in a casing so you couldn’t tell it was imbued. “And you, I’m sure you are packing.” The men moved to check them and take the weapons. Jormngand however didn’t let a hand touch him. He reached over and with a quick twist and hit he broke the man’s arm in three places. The other stopped reaching for her when he looked at him.

Act like it!” Senior Jovit’s entire right arm was a bright brass augment. It allowed him to fire an assault rifle with one hand. The surrounding flames reflected brightly on his Senior’s arm. Above them, Court Drones continued their flight path. Their black wings and blinking lights were a foreshadowing of what was to come. But the gangs were too powerful, they couldn’t touch them. Not even the Courts dared to tread on Moreno Avenue. At least. That’s what his Senior’s told him.

As he passed, the ground beneath him cracked and the space surrounding him warped. He roared, “Ahh!!!” Bruce waved his big knife, flinging out Sword Light. His attack instantly killed a few of the guards surrounding him. Although the guards were strong, they were no match for Bruce who was a Quasi Acmean. Swoosh!!! Four beams of light shone down from the sky and appeared around Bruce, gradually taking the form of four people. These four were the Hopeless City’s powerhouses. Three of them were Quasi Acmeans, and the remaining one was a peak Nine-Power Macrocosm Ancestral God.
