“What’s it to you?”
“Un-bunch your panties, mutt,” Loren snarked, his own stance challenged Izak’s aggressive pose. I sat as still as possible, I wasn’t sure why these men were in my room, but I knew the last thing I wanted was to anger any of them. Eskal must have noticed my discomfort because he ordered Loren to stand down.
“You too, Izak,” he added. “We’re here to get our women, that’s all. While what you said was out of line, we agree that it’s time to force Lucas’ hand. It’s nearing a month and this separation isn’t good for either of them.”
