The big black horses barely made any sound, there was no conversation among the big guards who had large scary tattoos around them. Leading the guards, were four people on black horses; Demenicus Darke, the alpha of the skull pack, Simion and Euvene Darke, the alpha first twin sons, and lastly Reven. F. Darke, the bastard last son of the alpha, who was known by other packs as the Deathkeeper, because of his brutality and savagery.

Eros commanded his warriors to attack the Nephilim in their special code language which they are trained to use during wars or any surprise attacks like this. One after another the Were warriors began to hurt the Nephilim using their sharp claws. Each warrior would claw the Nephilim on its back or front or sides, using a special pattern to confuse it. Before the Nephilim could turn to defend itself, the warrior who clawed it would disappear and some other warrior would claw it in another place.

Chapter 35: The Storm of Claws and Fangs. The war horn’s echo hadn’t faded before the pack shifted into action. Warriors, already on edge, moved like a well-oiled machine, their movements synchronized by years of training and an unspoken bond forged in countless battles. The tension that had simmered in the air now burst into full-blown urgency as the first lines of defense took their positions, their eyes trained on the treeline where the enemy would soon emerge.

One of Derek’s fighters turned around. “The leader Blood Moon wolves are coming.” Derek didn’t let go of me. “How many are they?” “Five. More are, behind them.”

Jade blurted out before she could stop herself. Jin seemed surprised for a moment, but then, burst out in laughter. He winked at Jade and whispered, “Old enough.” Embarrassed, Jade tried to find something to distract herself. And to avoid looking at Jin. “What do you think?” Jin said, breaking the silence. Finally getting over her shame, Jade cleared her throat and tried to look serious. “How?” “There is a legend around here… About the four Holy Beasts responsible for protecting the four kingdoms—”
