"Just some ugly freak—no one worth mentioning!" There was, in fact, a horribly scarred person on the island today. Rumor had it they had been through a fire. York ignored her, turning instead to Quinn. "Where are the island's people?" Besides Luna's crew and those who had arrived with York, the place was empty. The guards who were supposed to be stationed here were nowhere to be seen. "I drove them off," Luna chimed in, thinking York didn't care about me in the slightest. She leeched off his apathy and became even more brazen. "I really love the scenery here. How about I move in?"

Everyone had that ability, no matter what galaxy they came from. It seemed to her that they could gain as deep an understanding as she did. Maybe even more. But that was a journey she couldn’t force on them. It was something they needed to figure out on their own. “You don’t have to be,” she replied. “And you shouldn’t push yourselves to be. Everyone, relax for a minute. Take a breath.” Everyone in front of her let go of their concentration, then began to pant as they caught their breaths. It all greatly amused Freya, because in contrast to her past self, she would have ground them all into the dirt until it was ingrained in their bodies. Somehow, she had gotten soft along the way.

I still can’t believe that I had this kind of amount of money in just a snap. “Focus on your training Louen,” I whisper to myself. “Focus!”

But for now, my focus should be on escaping from these unknown enemies. Yeah! I should focus on getting myself out of this mess more than anything else.

And we are tilting them. I stepped away from the window and straightened. “So we stay controlled,” I said. “Measured. We build. We don’t lose focus.” ' Yes.' “No reckless hunts.” 'No.' “No ego.” A faint flicker of amusement from him. 'I am not the one with ego, Alejandro.' I snorted quietly. “Fair.”

I can’t shake off the feeling that every luxury comes with a price. But then the reality sets in again. I’m here, but I’m not free. I’m trapped in a world I don’t understand, under the control of a man who can turn my life upside down with a snap of his fingers. “Focus,” I tell myself. “You need to be strong. You need to survive.”

"Which means you cannot erode with any other thoughts. You have to push all your senses and focus them on what's happening right now." "Fine. I will try. You seriously can't think of threatening me. You are my bloody trainer! Now, train me." I say and walk back to my position. This is going to be tough. "Alright." He walks back to his position and looks at me. "I need you to just focus on me. You have to eliminate all other thoughts and distractions. Just focus on me."

Aiden POV We have a lot of friction all the time and I think that it based on the fact that we have different persona. It's not really about what anybody wants to think instead it's about the things that truly apply. I had absolutely nothing to prove to anybody besides just making sure that I remain focus on my own attention and I do not allow anything to complicate things. Festus steps into my office web a weird look on his face I know that everything is about to fall apart.

And that was all Freya needed for her swift, strong strike to send me down, hard. A groan left my lips as I hit the ground. “Now, you're distracted,” Freya stated. I took in my lower lip, pushing myself up again, refusing to look back at Deucalion this time. “I’m fine,” I muttered. Freya followed my earlier glance, then clicked her tongue. “You can't afford to lose focus, Dextera,” she warned. “Or you’ll get eaten alive out there.” I nodded once. This time, when I stood, I forced my stance to remain firm, and my mind to restrain from wandering.
