Crossing the line
My fingers hovered over the keyboard, and words began to spill — not for an assignment, not for a grade, just for me.
We chase stories because we want to make sense of the world. But sometimes, the story finds us first. And sometimes, it’s not about winning or breaking news — it’s about the people who teach us to stand when everything falls apart.
I hit send — my last article for the student paper. My last story from this chapter of my life.
Outside, the city lights glowed softly against the dark. For once, the future didn’t feel terrifying.
