Freida Mcfadden Housemaid Series Mga Nobela at Kwento

Mary had been working as a maid in Brenda's household for several days now, and she had grown accustomed to the various quirks and idiosyncrasies of the family. But there was one thing that she couldn't shake off - the way that Brenda's father looked at the maidservants.

But I wouldn't be getting any of that special treatment from anyone if I dared mess with the heater or anything at all at this house. " Hello Miss Walden, I'm Victoria and I'll be helping you out with whatever you need." Said a young red head, she looked like she was in her early twenties and she had a very kind smile. I wondered how much they were paying her to do this job because she was subtly saying she was my maid and I found that extremely upsetting because I didn't want to be "served" and also because the maids of the Harolds were utterly evil to outsiders and Victoria was definitely not going to be different

A migraine was starting to build in my head. Someone came out of the maid room, and we turned to look. It was “Chief Freya.” Nora turned to me, whispering in an excited voice, telling me that the previous chief maid had been surprisingly sacked. “Mia,” Freya said with a smile. “I thought you’d never come out.” Nora looked from her to me, surprised that Freya knew me. Then she bowed nervously, unsure of what else to say. Freya ignored her. “All the maids were cleaning up from the party yesterday, washing dishes and mopping the halls. But I told them to rest—that a maid who went on a little vacation would handle it when she returned.”

She beckoned on the ladies to come into the room, and when they got to close range, she spoke to them. "Introduce yourselves.” "Good morning ma'am. I'm Linda, the maid in charge of doing the laundry" the first one said. "I'm Maureen, the cook," the other said. "I'm Mercedita, the housekeeper. My work is to keep the house clean" the third said. "I'm Gladys, I'm in charge of the dishes. I run little errands here and there" the last one said. “I'm Helen, the chief maid. I'll do nothing but supervise the others. Be rest assured, you're in good hands because I handpicked them myself, and I wouldn't do anything against the Sutherland family” Helen said.

I didn't like that kid. Then Chubby found out the old man's son needed a maid at the farm and got me the position. I didn't know how she did it, but she managed to get the old man's son to hire me as their house maid. I hate being the house maid - his wife was a pain who wouldn't leave me alone, always following me around, ordering me to do things. I was not here to work, I was here for revenge. According to Chubby, this woman was the old man's favorite - he adored his daughter-in-law, especially at that time that she was pregnant again, he was always fawning over her.

Not because she truly wished to have Maja under her roof along with the rest of the family. Bristling, Maja scowled as she stared at the heap of unwashed plates in the sink and shook her head. No, she would get to her housework later in the evening. She hated housework and Maddie shared her loathing. For a minute, she allowed herself to heartily envy Proserpina Delano who had a retinue of servants at her beck and call. Then she heard the front door slam and scrambled to her feet. Was Magnus back, she thought in joy and shot to the door. Her son was nowhere to be seen but Maddie was slinking up the stairs and she felt a twinge of unease. Where had the girl been?

" The next time I saw Chloe was in October. She never did go to college. She wouldn't live to see winter. After their attempt to cause a scene at my office failed, she had been forced to do every filthy, exhausting job in the house. Derek repeatedly ordered her to contact me, put on a miserable performance, and ask for money. Perhaps some final trace of conscience remained in her, because she never did. This time, they had tricked her into drinking farm pesticide.

On the other end of the line, she sounded gentle and respectful, completely different from the woman who would later cry in front of the courthouse. I told Daniel to go straight to the university after landing and not come home. I did not go to the airport either. Instead, I turned and walked into a cafe. Once inside, I took a seat in the corner, pulled out my tablet, and connected to the home surveillance feed. Today was my only chance to catch her slipping, and I did not dare miss a single second. Megan arrived right on time at nine. As usual, she began by cleaning the house. Up until noon, everything looked normal.

She’d just traded one set of chains for another thinner, prettier, but tighter around her throat. I picked up one of the cash bundles, fanned it once, then dropped it back into the box. “Let her scrub floors for a while,” I said. “Let her think she’s earning her way out. The real work starts when she realizes there is no out.”

“Good luck with Freya. You’re going to need it.” Before I could respond, a sharp voice called from the kitchen. “Liana!” The maid sighed lightly, the smirk never leaving her lips. “Duty calls,” she murmured, and turned to head toward the kitchen. I watched her go, my thoughts buzzing. Between the ice cold daughter, the breathtaking mother, and now this mysterious maid who seemed to know more than she was saying, this house was already turning into something far more complicated than I expected. I sank deeper into the sofa, pretending to focus on Game of Thrones, but the moans and heavy breathing on screen weren’t helping.
