He only cares about strengthening our Kingdom and winning the war agaisnt the vampires and humans that have been attacking us since forever. If he has to send me to an enemy Kingdom, completely alone and at the mercy of the enemy, he will do it for the alliance.

" Hearing his words, my eyelashes fluttered slightly. I bent down, picked up the book from the floor, and walked toward him, step by step. The guys standing beside him smirked, their eyes filled with disdain and undisguised malice. I smiled. "Like this—?" Without warning, I swung the book, its hard spine slamming viciously into his nose. "Ahh!!—" Nicholas shot up from his chair, yelling in pain. He clutched his nose, blood streaming down his fingers. Then, suddenly, he flashed me a cold, sinister smile.

"Why?" "Why do you think? Because the fae and vampyre clans have one common enemy, us. If we allow you to clasp hands then where would that leave us? We know only too well that we wouldn't stand a chance, that you'd do everything to silence us once and for all. But instead of the great bond everyone hailed we brought great discord that has gone on for millennia." She cackled again in great delight as if she didn't sense her peril.

The cruelest set of werewolves ever. The Amato pack and the Ferrari pack had been enemies for so many decades and their enmity ran deep. I can not believe that I was standing in front of their Alpha, who would kill me mercilessly if he found out that I was an Amato. It made me so grateful that I had chosen chosen lie, that I had stood my ground too. This was a straight ticket to heaven. Or hell.

On to of that the best friend anyone would ever want and now that stupid Andree is in the picture again. I lost Ariel because of him and now, I can't lose Liiza. I liked Ariel, from the very first day she joined the school but I never told anyone, not even Liiza or Rilee. I admired her but we were also really close. We were good friends and would talk sometimes but that all changed the day she started dating Andree. Andree and I never cared about each other. We were not enemies, nor friends. His best friends are my friends but he and I were just school mates.

The last sentence was the key point. Anna was a hopeless romantic. She insisted on marrying Justin, a drunkard. After getting married, she and Justin even stayed and lived off us. My mother disagreed with Anna and Justin being together. However, every time my mother asked them to break up, Anna would become hysterical and even cut her wrists several times. No wonder Anna went to work in Mexican cartel territory this time.

Today was the happiest day of my life which was also the beginning of our fruitful years ahead. All of a sudden, the doors jolted open, and the Alpha's brother, Casper, walked inside. His scent was strong and alluring, his steps were calculating, and his cold stare was fixed on me, who was busy with my makeup. I turned to the door and saw Casper standing before me glaring at me. My breath hitched causing me to quiver in fear. Silence swept between us. Casper was one of the unmated werewolves in the pack and there had been disheartening rumours about him abusing minors for his own advantage.
