he offered, his tone earnest but playful, as though he were trying to reassure me amidst the shared quiet. I couldn't help but cast a wary glance at the floor over his shoulder, remembering the dull ache in my back from earlier. "No, I don't mind sleeping here," I said with a slight shrug, my heart racing for reasons I didn't fully understand. It's not like it was the first time we had shared a bed during a sleepover. As I settled in, the familiar scent of Adam mixed with the remnants of my shower filled my senses, wrapping around us as the movie started flickering to life on the screen, the room gradually dimming further into an intimate cocoon of comfort.

Gaby leaned in suddenly and whispered into her ear, scaring Elena to jump off a bit. “Nope!” Elena half yelled at her as she turned to look at her. “He’s my friend, but we’re not fighting. Thanks.” She cut her off before she could say anything. “And if you’re thinking we’re now friends because you’ve gotten me a burger, you must be joking.” She added and eyed her, turning to face her front as she drank the juice Gaby had brought with it. “It’s fine. Was not hoping for any of that with you either way.” Gaby muttered under her breath.

He replied. "Barbara is at it again?" I asked. "You already know that. Marriage is just hell, Daniel." He slurred. "Hey you! So this is where you go early morning and come back drunk!" Barbara's voice could be heard from the background. "The she-devil is here." Roland muttered and I laughed. Roland has been my friend for one year and we're much close but he's just a jerk sometimes. His wife has been a pain in his neck just the way he told me cause she's pregnant.

I answered. “Do you still need my help?” “Nah, I will just wait for the mouse to come here” “Okay then, I will go now” He said and he looked around again for one more time, and threw his cigarette butts. “Just call me when you need me” He offered and I smiled at him and nodded. He went out and closed the door. Now. I am alone again with Ross, I looked at him and came closer to him. “You’re friend is next” I whispered to him and he took one last breath and died.

Here they were, catching up for the first time in weeks, and her mind was elsewhere — on the damned mafia boss who had her obsessed. “Whatever you spaced out for must not be that good, for you lost your smile for a moment there,” Maria quipped. Before she could say anything, I dragged her out onto the dance floor. The music was loud, and the lights were flashing as we danced. I could feel the beat pulsating through my body, making me lose myself in the moment. Elena laughed and twirled around me, her eyes shining with excitement. We danced and laughed, letting go of all our worries and just enjoying the night. As we danced, I couldn't help but steal glances at Enzo, who was watching us from the sidelines with a smile on his face. The tension between us was palpable, but I tried to push it aside and focus on having fun with my friends.

When we reach my floor, he hugs me before he says goodbye and goes up to his floor. Immediately I enter my apartment, I dial my best friend Jessica technically my only friend back home. "I miss you already," she says answering the phone. "I miss you too." I say. "So? How do you like New York so far? "How's Mason? Is he still so hot and yummy?" She asks ranting.
