I almost vomit from the stench of its breath, my stomach curling uncomfortably. I can feel my nose hairs burning. Lifting my gaze slightly, I lock eyes with the yellow, menacing eyes of a large Goblin. Its wrists, neck, nose, ears ankles all cuffed in pieces of stolen gold. Its inky black body hovers over me, and I try not to react too harshly. "Valerie, warp to me," Jaxson growls through our mind-link. I try not to flicker my gaze to him again, keeping my fearless watch locked on the Goblin.

“Listen, Nya, do you want to see what’s become of the so-called sacrifices or not?” An image of Gavin’s smiling face came to mind, one from before the Dragon Moon where he was claimed by this monster. She narrowed her eyes at him. Nya Gould wasn’t easily frightened. While it crossed her mind she might be crossing into a lair filled with angry, hungry dragons, something about Slate’s mannerisms made her trust him. Of course, that could just be how he tricked his prey into becoming his dinner.

That man yelled at me while facing Dómr. “Grr…” Taking a step back, Dómr pounces forward again with a headbutt. WHAM! C-CRIK— Not good, the last barrier shows signs of cracking— it can’t hold any longer. “Guh…! Damn it— gigas lapis murum!” (Giant stone wall!) Stomping his foot on the ground, he summons a giant wall made out of stone, below Dómr— with its size large enough to launch Dómr to the sky above the trees.

Samuel cut himself deep enough as he quickly created a small symbol on the ground. “I’m asking this for the last time mom. Are you sure you want this?” Samuel asked and Rogue placed her hand on her hip with a frown. “I’m ten seconds from beating your ass young man if you don’t continue.” Rogue said as Sam chuckled and placed his healed hands over the symbol. He started chanting a long spell in Japanese as the wind blew into the room and books started scattering around, furniture moving as Sam chanted the spell faster before something rose from the spell. My long, black fingernails clicked rhythmically against the armrest of my chair. ​"Are you absolutely sure of this?" The goblin child who was being carried on Gon’s back looked behind. The centipede was very close already. She was scared watching the giant insect catching up to them and she screamed.

The instant Chloe, a mortal without a shred of divine power, touched the pillar, she shattered the Abyss seal that had held for a hundred years beneath it. Boom! The ground split open, and a three-headed hound engulfed in hellfire burst from the depths. Its crimson eyes locked onto me, the weakest god present, still slumped on the ground, and it lunged with its jaws wide open. I desperately tried to gather my power to fight back, but my weakened body couldn't summon anything.
