I ignored Vivian’s snickering at the other end of the table as I tried to keep up a conversation with Madam Isa, acting as though she were royalty.
“Vivian, do you have notes?” Madam Isa asked, turning to look at her, eyes narrowed. “You are quite loud for someone who already had her turn.”
Vivian’s cheeks reddened, but then she glanced at me, and I saw the rage in her eyes forming.
“Actually, I do have some notes,” she said, narrowing her eyes at me. “You’re holding your shoulders too relaxed. A Luna Queen must appear elevated. It shows the room that she’s in charge, and you don’t have what it takes to convince anyone you’re in charge.”
