My normal vanished like long ago. I just give him a plain node. I want to give him a small smile but my face is too stiff, my lips hurt when I stretch them. "Are you sure?" he inquires while cocking his head to one side to study my facial expression. His eyebrows furrow together and he frowns in deep concern. I don't reply his question. I believe that the answer is obvious to everyone with eyes.

It's a text from Chase. FROM CHASE: Sure. You can bring a friend. I can't wait to see you tonight. I love you. I smile and bite my bottom lip. I look at my laptop screen and my friends are already at me. " What?" I ask them as I chuckle silently. " Nothing. You're so in love." Tanner says. I open my mouth to say something but shut it again. the Dj suddenly changed the beat to slow and tense music. I don't know if it is the music or not but I can see the sudden change in his expression. it shifts from a goofy one to a serious one. It looks more intense than it has ever been. he begins to stare down at me and I wonder why the change in demeanour. I don't know why but I begin to feel butterflies in my stomach. I don't know why I suddenly begin to notice how attractive he is. not that I didn't notice earlier but his lips begin to look sexier as he stares down at me.
