"The one with the long ears, Mommy! I want the blue one today! The blue rabbit bowl!"
"Rabbit bowl," I confirmed, reaching up for the cupboard. "The blue one for Maple, and the yellow one for Rosy."
"I want the yellow one because it looks like the sun," Rosy said softly, moving to her chair. She climbed up into her seat carefully, without making a sound.
She folded her small hands on the table, and studied me with those deep eyes that saw more than any three-year-old should. "You're tired,"
"I am a little tired, sweetie," I said, setting her bowl down and pouring the cereal.
