At least I hope he is. When I finish the burrito, I lean back on the couch and grab my e-reader from the coffee table. A new book in my favorite Boy Band series released a few days ago, and I've waited to start. Every woman who reads romance has her favorite genre. Billionaires, vampires, sports stars, the list goes on and on, but for me it's musicians. Moody rockers to be precise. I'd never date one in real life... well except the DJ incident a few months ago. In reality, musicians are way too moody. But in books I get the best parts of them without having to live with drug overdoses and the cheating.

“She’ll probably spend the whole holiday in here if you let her.” I walked the aisles slowly, trailing my fingers over the books. Classics. Thrillers. A whole section of contemporary romance—Mirabel’s doing, mostly. She’d started collecting them in high school, said they were “escapist but smart.” I’d never read them. Too many happy endings. Too much hope wrapped in pretty words. I pulled one down at random. Dark cover, brooding man in a suit, and title written in gold foil: Claimed by the Billionaire. I snorted softly, then slid it back.

Well there was only two weeks left for Sam to enjoy her and he was doing that as much as he could. Not that he didn't actually enjoy the class itself as he had indeed been writing for the last couple of years. The only problem was what he was writing was dirty naughty stories, or as most web sites called it; erotic stories. Sam was pretty good at it and at the urging of his then girlfriend Stacey, had submitted some of his books to an eeotic story site named Erotic dom where under the pen name Dirtyfantasies, and had gotten some good reviews.

“Never.” I laughed. ”Why not? I mean, you’re gorgeous.” His cheeks flushed and he smiled. “Just focus on relaxing, Christiana.” But I didn’t give up. “Come on, tell me” I coaxed. Mason sighed. “I’m focused on my career,” I raised my glass. “To successful, handsome bachelors” Mason clinked his glass against mine “To beautiful, sophisticated and intriguing women.” I blushed, feeling a warmth spread through my chest. Our eyes met, and I gulped the rest of my drink to ease myself.
