I chuckled, deepening the cut with a minor force. I suddenly turn pale at that thought to which Clarence has the opportunity to successfully pull off the eye pad, revealing my bruised eye. “Oh? It’s healing then? How boring.” He shows a deadpanned look as he throws the eye pad aside. I muster up the courage to say the next thing that comes to my mind. “Clarence...please let go of me... and I, I promise you that I won’t tell anyone.” A burst of roaring laughter from behind. Apparently, his friends enjoy this kind of entertainment. The mockery on their eyes, the adamant whistling like a pack of wolves make me feel nauseous, and I'm on the verge of losing consciousness.

I find clowns creepy, too, but I decide to ignore my feelings about them for now. I browse through the selection until I find the perfect one. It is a life-size poster of a scary clown holding balloons. "That's it. That's the one going home with us," I announce. Sophia shakes her head. "Oh, Vincent is not going to like this."
