Tempting My Best Friend's Alpha Father

Tempting My Best Friend's Alpha Father

With every breath, my vision darkens and blurs. I can feel it now. Death is slowly calling me. Their voices grow distant and fading. The last thing I hear is Gabriel and Holly crying and calling my name. A tear rolls down my cheeks as I realize I won't be able to protect them. “I'm…. I'm sorry….” I struggle to say. And then, everything goes black as I fall. And I don’t get back up after taking my last breath.

Our Last Fall

Our Last Fall

I could put up with everything else, but that watch was different. It was a birthday gift from my late older brother, Norman, who had spent almost six months saving up for it. Two years ago, he was killed during an undercover mission. They never even found his remains. That watch was all I had left to remember him by. Samson was already so unfair. Meanwhile, I was exhausted, and I didn't even want to fight about this anymore. When I thought about my decision to leave soon, I felt strangely at peace.

THE ALPHA MUST DIE

THE ALPHA MUST DIE

From hunger. The soul he was about to trade had never been his to begin with. He pressed the edge of his claw to his tongue. Bit. Bled again. “Lael ith os murn. I am the last flame. I am the spine of the beast. I give. Take me.” The ground groaned. The altar split down the middle. And from the wound in the earth came not fire—but breath. Old breath. The kind that smelled like burnt roots and forgotten names. The kind of breath that remembered the First Pact and had waited too long to be worshipped again.

THIS WILL BE THE LAST

THIS WILL BE THE LAST

Debbie shrieked, squeezing his neck even tighter, "I tried to drown you before, and I can do it again, but this time I swear this will be your last!" Debbie put her hand harder against his neck, pressing it, sending more pain and struggles in him. As his grandmother's gaze focused on him, he forced his quivering weak hands to raise. The searing sensation in his throat is rising to his head, squeezing out every drop of air from his lungs; all he could do was breathe under strain, and he knew that every second of his life now matters. Zackary's eyes are closing slowly, yet he is determined to live no matter what.

Good day everyone! I just want to say sorry if the chapters' titles are confusing. I edited every chapter and added a few details, but the events are still placed accordingly. It would be fixed once my editor is back from vacation. Thank you for reading, and giving me votes. Really appreciate it!
Agatha
This will be the last has a gripping intro and every chapter will leave you hanging! This is such a unique thriller because from the very beginning the culprit is already given. I'm tired of guessing, so this one's unique and is really a must read ... i can't wait for many more chapters to come!

TAKE MY BREATH AWAY

TAKE MY BREATH AWAY

“Um… they are understandable. However, if that was indeed the case, I must tell you that you will need medical help elsewhere. I will not continue to cure you.” His voice changed again. “If the bleeding wasn’t deliberately induced, then, of course, I will do everything in my power to better assist you.” His eyes were grave suddenly and shot with sympathy. “Although you must understand that in many cases, nature will find a way, despite all our efforts, and I’m sorry to tell you that you must accept that this may be the outcome.” Totally stunned, Cheryl kept staring at him. What was this man saying? She didn’t understand. She licked her dry lips, the air as tight as steel bands hurting her lu

Loved this short story from E.S. This billionaire romance is told mostly from the ML perspective, I really struggled to see him as anything but the villain and a selfish self-centered jerk most of the book, but well, I’ll let you read it. ES always comes through with beautiful stories.
Kimberly
A well written story full of passion, emotion and the kind of problems that come from adults not communicating with each other. The male lead is flawed, very flawed, but has some decent character development, especially for a short story. The female lead’s emotions made me cry. Well worth reading
