Ivana narrowed her eyes at her. "Cause I'm the writer," Arielle shrugged her shoulders. "Writer?" Ivana cocked her head to the side. "Remember I promised to fess up everything, I think it's time, Ivana, I know it's hard to believe what I'm going to say but please be patient, I'll explain everything to you. The truth is this world is the world I created, in short, we're inside my novel," She confessed.

It was a reminder of the potential of humanity, a testament to what we had lost, and a beacon of hope for what could still be. The book’s descriptions of sophisticated technology were equally fascinating. Devices that could heal the sick, machines that could generate clean energy, and systems that could predict and prevent natural disasters—all things that seemed like fantasies in our current world. But the details added depth to the civilization's complexity, showing its capacity for innovation and progress. It presented a world that valued knowledge and learning, a world where technology was used to serve humanity and not to destroy it.

For the first time, Cathedra had someone who didn't cringe every time she opened her mouth to speak. So this is what having a friend feels like, huh? Cathedra thought to herself. One lunch break, while waiting for Diane underneath the tree, Cathedra was scribbling a draft of her first novel in her notebook. The novel contained the scenes she saw in the storybook, back in her kindergarten days. Since that day at kindergarten, she didn't tell anyone what she saw in the storybooks anymore. The thought of seeing things that other people couldn't still terrified her but she tried hard not to think about it by avoiding any book she can see other than school books and textbooks.

Annalise retorted while enjoying the food that Zeno prepared for her. “What kind of plot, then?” Zeno inquired. “Hmm, maybe about games or robots? I’m not sure but I’m trying to think which one is better. Although, I’m thrilled about writing a novel that’s all about science fiction,” she replied. “Robots will be good. I’m sure that they will adapt to your novel if you finish that. Maybe they will also try to release a game about that,” Zeno explained, which made Annalise chuckle softly.

Oh well, that's not my concern anymore, I just want to read this for my guts are telling me to do so. I opened it and found something that I don't think will help me. It's a prediction from the 25th century on what will happen in the future which is now and I haven't seen anything accurate from what's happening here. I see... These robots already exist then and so as greediness. It seems to be every era's nature then it just became worse than they have ever imagined now. They are expecting a better world when this era comes but what they didn't know is that it'll just be worse than what they'd been through. Honestly, I really don't believe those predictions for they are more likely to fail.

Calliope guided me upstairs. My opinion of Mr. Fernandez changed when I saw his bedroom. Though the walls were still so boring, no painting, photos or whatsoever, my heart was overwhelmed with joy when I saw shelves with plenty of books. I loved books so much, and I enjoyed reading them, especially about history. I scanned the titles, they were futuristic books. About space ships, galaxies, planets, and robots. There were also about travel, history, documentaries, philosophies and finance. I could tell that he was an intelligent man according to his book preferences.

"They wanted every word to have one meaning. We are writing a 'Novel.' We are changing the 'Laws of Physics' into 'Suggestions of Style.' We’re making gravity 'Optional' on Tuesdays and making the speed of light 'Subject to Mood'." This was the "Playful-Era." On Novus, the "Great-Canopy" became a place of impossible physics. Water flowed upward if the children sang to it. The "Soot-Walkers" built houses made of "Frozen-Mist" that were warmer than the old steam-pipes. The "Sea of Glass" became a "Canvas," where the history of the future was painted in shifting colors of liquid-light. The Union were no longer the "Mechanics of Survival"; they were the "Artists of Existence."
