It nearly pops out of my chest as I stop right in front of him, holding that same smile as I meet his gaze again. “Are you one of the Alpha’s men?” I ask casually, watching as his jaw ticks. “Or did Warren drop me at the wrong house?” Keith doesn’t respond as he still studies me with a quizzical stare, his brows even bunching as his eyes flick up and down my front. However, as I don’t squirm under her evident scan, he eventually speaks. “I’m the Alpha,” he informs me, and I feign surprise by widening my eyes. “Keith Galtin.”

“So, I followed you!” “I think I need to see a doctor!” Cara felt her chest constricted and sweat trickled down the sides of her face. “Sure, I’ll drive you. I know the best doctor in town!” Genelia said and helped Cara to sit in the car. Keith gathered his belongings in a hurry and left for the airport, regretting not having the chance to say a proper goodbye to Cara. “I’m taking a short trip to Boston. I’ll call soon to explain everything.” While he texted, Cara sat in the doctor’s chamber, wringing her hands with distress.

Kevin Kevin had nearly died of relief when the Deputy Chief, Killian Forrest, reached out to assign him work. He expected to hear from Richard Wolfe himself. Apparently, the Chief didn't want to deal with him too. Kevin was more than happy to avoid dealing with him too. At least, for now. As a trained warrior, he was assigned guard duty around certain areas alongside two other Gammas. Their task was making sure both visiting wolves and fellow Mooners didn't cause any trouble during the Feast.

Serena blinked in surprise. She hadn’t expected to see a woman among the warriors—and certainly not holding the high rank of Beta.

Gwen held her thumb in between the rest of her fingers, keeping it safe. Mrs Gallewart took another long look at her, then let go of her folded hands. "Gwen, you know I'm not a wicked person." She began and Gwen could not find herself answering that. She almost asked her if she was being sarcastic. "I'm just a person who stands by polices and I don't bend them for anyone, no one. I don't want to be unkind to you, Gwen, but know that I won't hesitate to trash out a bad fish from the fridge immediately I notice it, even if it's a big one. Please don't make me be unkind to you."
