Sana stepped closer, her heels sinking slightly into the gravel, her eyes glittering with cruel satisfaction.
“Careful, Ishtiyaq,” she taunted softly. “Your little secret—it shows. And if I can see it, don’t think Aariz won’t. And when he does…” She let the sentence trail off, smirking. “Well, you know what he’s capable of.”
Ishtiyaq’s jaw flexed, rage and desire warring in his eyes, but Sana had already turned away. She walked toward her waiting car, her laughter echoing behind her. For once, she felt the sting of jealousy replaced by a sharper, sweeter weapon: knowledge.
