She pondered over the possibility of someone exploiting her vulnerability in this desolation. Lost in these thoughts, she suddenly noticed three figures emerging from the shadows on either side of the road, converging towards her. Initially, they trailed behind her, ringing alarm bells in Hiya's mind. While the man in a suit seemed somewhat trustworthy, the other individuals emitted a more menacing aura. The realization struck her like a bolt of lightning – danger lurked. As she sensed their pursuit, anxiety etched across her face, Hiya hastened her pace. The trio, however, accelerated as well, encircling her from all directions.

As my soul left my body, I wondered why I could still see what was happening to me. It only hit me when I looked down to see my lifeless body slumped on the table—I was dead. The sound of the door opening caught my attention. I turned to see that a maid had returned. The remnants of whatever hope I harbored disappeared. My brothers hadn't returned. The maid was shocked to see me slumped on the table with the urn and photo beside me. She stopped to assess the situation before slowly approaching me. She reached out a trembling finger and placed it underneath my nose. Then, she paled and shrieked in fear.

As I piled it out my chest felt hollow, my strength draining fast, but I didn’t hesitate. I cupped her face with my bloody hand. “Take it, little mate,” I rasped. “Live.” I pressed it to her lips, and as soon as it touched her tongue, it dissolved. The room went silent for a heartbeat. Then her body arched violently, light flashing under her skin as if something fierce was fighting to bring her back. Tracy’s sobs stopped as she watched, her eyes wide. Color slowly began to spread across Sage’s skin, the deadly pallor fading. Her lips, once blue, turned pink. Her chest rose with a weak but steady breath.

I decided to just scrap the idea of the new ending of the third book,” Cela said straightforwardly. “But why? What happened?” Lora asked in disbelief. “Nothing. I mean, it’s been due and I’ve not come up with anything better than the original ending,” Cela explained. “Is that final?” Lora asked. “Yes, it is. Sorry, Lora. And please tell the other producers and whoever is involved in the production that I am sorry for wasting their time waiting for nothing. I’ll apologize to them personally when we do the viewing,” Cela said.

He must realise by now how much surveillance is around the place; seriously I am pretty sure Fort Knox doesn’t even have this much security. My phone starts to ring and sure enough, it is Taylor. I know if I don’t answer it he will freak so I hit the accept button and let him know that we are all okay. After several minutes of reassuring him that we are all safe and that he doesn’t need to drive down, something I know he will probably ignore because he is stubborn like that, I hand the phone across to Nicola who at least has gained some colour back in her face.
