He lifted my hand slightly, thumb stroking my knuckles, asserting his grip so everyone could see it. To my right, Karius loomed like an impenetrable wall. At six-foot-four, his broad chest and massive arms practically shadowed my small frame. His deep forest green eyes were hooded and lethal, the scar above his left eyebrow standing out against his fair skin. His rugged jaw was set in a brutal line. He reached out with his right arm, sliding his thick, heavy forearm around my waist, pulling my hips flush against his side. His large, warm palm rested flat against my ribcage, anchoring me against his massive body.

Burned beyond recognition, the report said. Identification had been made through personal effects. Cassian’s wallet. Cassian’s watch. Cassian’s car. Everything neat and convenient. Everything wrong. Doesn't look like a country boy, he looks like he was carved personally by Zeus himself, thick firm muscled body and the sun or light doesn't seem to help save my sight. It gathers around him like a halo!! Strangely I could hear the echoing of angels humming and singing as I tried not to drool over him....
