As it flapped aside awkwardly, Ghaeron pressed his advantage. He swept past and clawed at its neck, catching one of its wing joints in the process. He flapped higher, turning to see what it would do. The creature’s injured wing hindered it, and it was struggling to remain airborne. Ghaeron wasted no time. He dove down, flaming, striking it in the middle of its back as his flame washed over it. With a loud roar of pain, the thing’s neck arched back and it began to fall, unable to use its wings to any effectiveness. It fell to hit the ground a short distance from the fighting below, amid scattered trees and rocks.
