Rebel I'm nervous when I finish my makeup in front of the mirror. It's highly unlike me to be self-conscious. But what if Alex won't like me? Not everyone likes goths, but to be fair, I don't have extreme makeup: I use fake eyelashes to make my eyes pop. Foundation, some blush for rosy cheeks, and red lipgloss to look cute. This is not extreme. Apart from that, I'm wearing a dark leather jacket and a grey beanie over my slightly wavy black hair.

I’m grateful dance has given my thighs strong muscles and my body endurance. The bar is full of goths as usual, of varying degrees of flamboyance. Most of the kids are dressed casually with Gothic touches—black lipstick here, a spiked dog collar there, black clothing everywhere. Many of the girls are wearing corset tops, real ones with stays. All of it is expensive-looking and elegant. Black nail polish is nearly universal. I’ve never seen a town with such a high goth subculture population.

Because Kate is determined to graduate a valedictorian, she isn’t going to do any of the sort and yield the throne of valedictorian to Sister Sunday. Kate herself came up with the name GEEKZ. It’s an acronym (her inner Miss Grammarly couldn’t help it) and stands for Global Enthusiastic Energetic Kid-at-heart Zoomers. Kate eschewed all the cliché catchwords of her generation: YOLO, SANAOL, LODI (“idol” spelled backwards), PETMALU, LIKE, ALPHA... She thought of a unifying theme, an identifier that all the students could rally behind, and she hit up on Geeks.

Begin to add light layers of goth accessories such as Victorian drape chokers, hats, skull bags, and watches. Everything that I remember, how the goths dresses and their accessories are exactly how the things are found in this luxurious cabinet. It's good, that I learn how to read. On time when I was walking at the street of Villa Aragon, a magazine was place on the top of the trashcan. Fortunately, I pick it up and read some words from it. It says, if you want to ease out of wearing color, try wearing black tights or leggings with a pair of black boots and gauge your parents' reaction. I'd be labeled a freak by association. Goth kids were feared.They always had an air of spookiness and macabre surrounding their auras , they were obsessed with death , dark humor and dark poetry and they always looked as though they stepped right out of a funeral catalogue. Standing next to this five foot tar colored freak, I couldn't stop my rampant thoughts from imagining her working in a cemetery some day.I have a feeling she'd qualify to work in one seeing how obsessed she was with death and everything it came with. "What did you do to my poetry journal?'She barked, holding the aforementioned journal in her pale hands.

But to the female contingent of geeks it was his main appeal. Keith the Surfin' Geek looked like the most interesting geek. In his forties, he was a surfer from way back, one of those guys who would plan a long weekend at the beach with a girl, a board and a woodie (it is a type of vehicle). If the surf gods did not send the narly waves, they would "pray for surf while makin' out in" the woodie.

“You’re a goth goddess.” “Oh, hush. We’ve got shit to do.” They dragged their fine asses out of bed and vanished into their room to change. When they came back? Unfairly hot. Kalyx in all black with leather accents, looking like a vampy rock god. Zephyr in dark jeans and a blood red button up, sleeves rolled, collar open just enough to tempt sin. Naturally, because apparently this was our life now, they each grabbed one of my hands like it was totally normal.
