Goth Gothic Novels & Stories

Elevator access granted. I looked up. The tower loomed above me like something out of a medieval fever dream. It was black stone spiraling up into the foggy sky, sharp spires like dragon teeth piercing the clouds. Gothic, foreboding… and apparently, mine. “Cool, cool, yeah,” I muttered. “Let’s just toss the traumatized werewolf into a Disney villain tower.”

Maybe because of excitement, I didn't have a chance to look into it more directly. I pull it out, it's stunning indeed. Gothic fashion is a clothing style marked by dark, mysterious, antiquated and homogeneous features. It is worn by members of the Goth subculture. As I can remember the history of gothics. Fishnets can be worn on arms, legs or even as shirts and jumpers. Cotton bloomers, lace-trimmed long skirt and flowing gauzy skirts are some of those parts of Gothic clothing that are very comfy to wear in the summer. Since, it's near summer, I've decided to wear it.

Candice told them that I'd been hurt so deeply that I would never bother with them again. Only then did they finally realize how cruel they had been toward me in the past. But it was too late. No amount of regret could ever make up for the hurt they'd brought me. Later on, I bought a bond-breaking potion from the healer and forcibly severed my mate bond with Ethan. To avoid being further harassed by the Volkovs, Candice and I went on a trip to the northern grasslands. The meadows there were breathtaking. While searching for new flower suppliers, we also took the time to enjoy ourselves.

She remained still for a while and sighed. She flops onto her bed and groans into her pillow, 'Come to think of it, aren't werewolves supposed to like, find their partner or mate when they come of age? I'm 17. Does that mean mine's gonna be decided in a year? It's a pretty unfair concept if you think about it. It's like you're destined to be with your mate, no matter who you like or have liked before. You will eventually end up with your mate. It's like you have no choice but to be attracted to some person you know nothing about. It's kinda stupid. Is that how it really works? Not like it matters anyway, I have no proof as to whether or not that's real.' She shrugs.

Charlie chuckled and said seriously, “Wife, to tell you the truth, I don't even know what gothic style is.” Claire laughed and said, “Gothic style is mainly the architectural style of the German people from Western Europe. You must have heard of the Western gothic cathedrals, monasteries, castles, and so forth. There are those particularly tall, exaggerated buildings with cold stone architecture. Later, it was gradually transformed into gothic literature, gothic music, gothic dressing, and so on. I also only learned about this when I was studying design. So, it is actually normal for guys not to be aware of all this.”

A sense of unease permeated the air as if the very stones themselves whispered of long-lost secrets and ancient curses. Polished ebony coffins lined the walls, each adorned with intricate carvings depicting scenes of darkness and death. Gargoyles leered down from their perches high above, their stone eyes seemingly tracking every movement with an eerie intensity. Sinister whispers reverberated through the dark corridors, and the cold touch of fear lingered in the air, warning all who dared to intrude upon this unholy sanctuary.

Not the clean, modern kind. A gothic monstrosity arcing out from a craggy cliff—stone slick with perpetual damp, gargoyles hunched along the rails, mouths open in silent howls. Far below, instead of a river, a neon‑flooded city sprawled, skyscrapers clawing at a sky that wasn’t sky at all. Mirrors.

A shuffle followed from her end. “I’m sorry, you just said something I’m not aware of,” I shot back. “And I’m sure you understand why I’m asking.” Lena hesitated. “The Goth is the dreaded spirit of the Crimson Circle. It can possess you through your deepest desires. When you said Xavier was lost, I thought you meant that the Goth had possessed him.” “What, no!” “The Goth is the common unionizing spirit of the Crimson Circle members,” Lena continued. “For quite a few years, the Goth hasn’t found a suitable host to make it into the world. It’s why not too many people know about it.”

The Nightfang estate was a mausoleum of old money and older cruelty. It wasn't a home; it was a statement, a sprawling gothic monstrosity of black stone and sharp angles that clawed at the moonless sky. As our car crunched up the gravel drive, a deep, instinctual fear settled in my bones. This was a place where light went to die.

Not Hot Topic gothic with chains and an Ouija board or Nightmare before Christmas or even skulls hanging from the ceiling. No, I wanted gothic architecture. All black walls with carved pillars, steeple style windows with the round cutouts at the top. An entire wall that was bookshelves filled with books of every type. Dark wood dressers and old antiques that made the whole room look like it was plucked from a castle miles and miles away.
