She didn't care for the fact that her two closest friends were keeping secrets from her. She stepped back when she noticed his eyes were pitch black. “Get out of here, NOW!” His voice rumbled like thunder. His teeth were sharp and elongated like that of a vampire. Katherine didn't say another word. She rushed outta there faster than the speed of lightning.

He lifted it in salute as if he'd been waiting for the gargoyle. Declan slid open the door to the apartment, the vile stench of the goblin hitting him. He grimaced but strode into the place anyway.
