Emerald steps forward sitting in the chair, she slides her headphones on while smiling at the girl who seems more relaxed now. “Ah, the sign of the gemini twins is normally given to a set of twins born of the summer solstice” My mother says as she hands Diona a glass of something. “So you really don’t know anything about your parents?” My mother asks as she looks at Diona’s necklace. “No, high priestess” My mother waves a hand at the girl.

It echoed above me, beside me, behind me. My pulse spiked. The voice from the Artemis demon drifted down through the fog, light and taunting. “The Geminis are here.” My stomach dropped. Geminis? Then it clicked as I counted frantically through the zodiacs. The twins! “Pelin!” I shouted, dread flooding my chest. “It’s two of them! The Gemini twins! Watch out!” The laughter swelled in response, splitting into two distinct tones, perfectly synchronized. “Too late,” one voice sang.

Those were Jenna's initials. A month ago, he had taken me to have it custom-made. He said rubies suited my complexion and that he would give the bracelet to me the day before the wedding. Now, he slipped the bracelet onto Jenna's wrist and said in a low voice, "This color really does suit you better. Your wrists are so fair—you look more beautiful wearing it than anyone else."
