Song Hao was confused and followed him. When they reached the emergency room, they both heard a sharp voice. "Ahhh, it's hurting… it's hurting. Do it gently… do you know who I am! I can close this hospital on one call… Ahhh, I dare you to use the injection! It's just that my friend is working here else I would have fired you all… Ahh, brother, it's hurting!" A boy with average height was lying on the hospital bed and making trouble for everyone just for few stitches.

It felt like a scene ripped from a bad dream. Pushing back my chair with a harsh scrape against the tiled floor, I practically ran out of the cafe. The L.A heat hit me like a physical weight as I hurried down the street, my mind a whirlwind of disbelief and a growing sense of urgency. City General wasn't far, a stark, modern building a few blocks away. Bursting through the automatic doors of the hospital, the sterile scent of antiseptic and the hushed murmur of voices assaulted my senses. I spotted a nurse at the reception desk, her expression calm and professional.

The first doctor asked the second doctor. "Perhaps, he likes her. He had never given a damn about anyone, he kills both males and females, he's not gender biased yet the Surgeon General from Eastern Ocean City is making him act strangely. Who could have known that the god of war could carry a woman in pain in his own hands?" "Well, the surgeon General has three kids so I doubt if anything romantic can ever subsists between the god of war and the surgeon General," the doctors continued gossiping as they walked away.

He was just as scared as I was. Finally, the doors opened, and I jumped out, my feet pounding the ground as I ran down the hallway. My eyes scanned the room numbers, searching for 304. The hospital corridors blurred past my eyes, the stale white walls making everything seem sterile and cold. I hadn't been in a hospital in years, never having need for it because of my Lycan genes. But now, I was slapped hard by the putrid stench hospital corridors.

|| Aaron's POV || When I arrived at City General Hospital, I threw money at the driver without waiting for change and ran through the emergency room entrance. The fluorescent lights were harsh and unforgiving, the smell of antiseptic and illness making my stomach turn. Or maybe that was the whiskey and guilt churning inside me. "Room 304," I said to the nurse at the desk, my voice coming out rougher than I'd intended. "Sophie Styles. Where is it?"
