In a drawer, he found a small bottle of sleeping pills. He hesitated for a moment, contemplating the consequences of his actions. He knew he shouldn't take them without a doctor's approval, but desperation led him to disregard the warning. He poured a handful of pills into his trembling palm and swallowed them with a sip of water. The room blurred as the medication took effect, and the old man succumbed to a troubled sleep.

His bloodshot eyes reflected pure madness as he charged at Chase, intent on taking him down. Chase snorted coldly and flicked his wrist, sending a golden dagger streaking through the air like a gleaming arc of frost. Huxley's weapon, a black iron staff, was struck mid-swing and sent flying. It was quickly shattered into pieces. Huxley screamed as the golden dagger slashed across his chest and abdomen, leaving deep wounds on his body. Blood started flowing out, pooling beneath him and staining the ground red.
