I couldn't really tell if Nova's a girl or a boy, he wants to be called a "he" but then writes a full novel about a CEO obsessing over a girl. I don't know why Nova doesn't want to call it a book when it obviously was. Don't let the title fool you, the story slowly turns dark and twisted.

Olivia Keller I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning, very typical of me to wake up late on a saturday morning. I spent last night working on five chapters of the book I just signed with GoodNovel. I signed with them two days ago and I already earned about fifty dollars. The platform was just like a God sent. I smiled as I got up from my bed and went into the toilet, I already had five reviews and I am going to make sure I inform my blog readers tonight.

"Olivia?" I flashed a surprised look as I took a few steps forward. I deliberately stumbled on the steps, and the notebook in my hand fell onto the floor. Olivia panicked when she saw the draft of my novel in the wide-open notebook. "Oops! My notebook! That's the draft of a novel I wrote back then. I heard that werewolf novels have been getting popular recently. This time, I plan to compile the draft and publish it." I bent over to pick up the notebook.

But, Blair pretended not to notice. "Who called?" asked Axel to change the subject about Clarissa. Blair really couldn't hide her joy. She almost jumped for joy when she didn't remember that she was pregnant and couldn't move much. Blair approached Axel and took the man's hand without hesitation. Axel was surprised, but he really enjoyed it. "Did you see it? I just received a call from publishing. They said they would publish the novel I was writing. This is really very shocking. I didn't think they would accept my novel and will publish it."

The novel was published in July, as Elian had argued it should be. The publisher had proposed a launch event in London, which Elian declined. He proposed instead a reading at a small bookshop in Lisbon — the kind that had the right smell and the right light and a proprietor who had been selling books for thirty years and could tell within ten seconds whether someone was buying a book to be seen with it or to read it. "Lisbon," the publisher said, with the tone of someone managing a response to an unexpected answer.

Maybe we are different, believe in different time zones, and always wander in society, but that doesn't mean I think highly of him. I am just nervous and want to catch a fresh breath. Yesterday, I met with the biggest publishing house in the country, and I submitted my novel to them. Now I am waiting for their reply. Maybe getting an opportunity will change everything for me for good.

It's been a long road to publishing, and some places work better than others. Unfortunately, I'm leaving GoodNovel to continue my stories elsewhere. Hopefully, they will go to print in 2024.
