Taming the varsity player

Taming the varsity player

Derek said reasonably, though his posture visibly stiffened as he aimed his flashlight down the hallway. "I hope so," I breathed. "No," Tasha said flatly, grabbing the back of Derek's shirt. "This house is haunted. Jonathan Vance's ghost is back for his property. We are all going to die." "Calm down, Tasha," Derek said softly. "There's no such thing as a haunted—" CRASH! A loud, violent smash shattered the quiet—the sound of a heavy wooden display shelf toppling onto the hardwood floor in the library.

The Vampire King's Feeder

The Vampire King's Feeder

She follows closely behind us. “Nellie, do you know which section in the library we can find books on folktales?” I ask. “I’m not that familiar with the library, Princess,” she answers. “You can ask the librarian for help.” “I didn’t know there was a librarian.” Nellie points to a desk to the right where a vampire with short brown hair is sitting. “That’s Willow. She’s the new librarian.” “What happened to the old librarian?” “Unfortunately, Gaius was killed by Opal and Jacob that night they hurt you.”

Ghost Lover

Ghost Lover

Was she dead? All this explains why the bus didn't stop, people didn't reply to her when she waved. They couldn't see her, that was why she was found in the cemetery. Austin stared at her and took a step back, this revelation alone almost blew up his mind. She was with a Ghost? Why can he see a ghost? "Oh my God," he muttered with his voice shaking, he ran past his brother and went into his room. He locked his door quickly, trying to stop Tasha or his brother from getting in.

Living With An Alpha

Living With An Alpha

They decided to start by visiting the local library, hoping to find information about supernatural beings or any similar occurrences that might shed light on their situation. The library was a quaint, old building with shelves stacked high with books. The smell of aging paper filled the air as Tiffany and Hailey entered. They approached the librarian, a kind-looking woman with spectacles perched on the tip of her nose. "Excuse me, ma'am," Tiffany began, her voice filled with determination. "We're looking for any books or records that might contain information about supernatural beings or any strange events in this town." The librarian smiled warmly at the girls. "Ah, curious young minds seek

Hypno Halloween

Hypno Halloween

For an insane moment, Jake actually saw the librarian's arm suddenly jerk out towards him before he let out a ghastly hollow sound from his mouthless face with the teeth loosely hanging in his bloodied jaws. Jake hit his back against the wall and quickly dashed out of the room. Did the monsters do that? Of course they did! They fucking killed the librarian! What about the other kids he'd seen earlier in the library? Were they killed too. Then he remembered the monster he had fought with earlier. How it had been disguised as a student. Maybe the other kids were also monsters, waiting for a chance to take me down and get the book. Well, the library was empty apart from the ashes of a slime-cov

Iridian

Iridian

Every time this creature moved, it’s bones grinded and clattered together. I wrinkled my nose at the thing when that musty smell wafted past, clinging to the creature that stalked the aisles. Its eyes were covered in a milky film. It was different from the way Abel’s eyes looked at Castle Mist. The Librarians were clearly blind, and clutched in its gnarled fingers were books. Helena and I locked eyes, and seemed to have a similar idea. We needed to get away from the librarian. I hadn’t a clue how the library would lead us anywhere, but I was willing to work with baby steps.

Such a well written book and the story really drags you in, I’ve enjoyed reading this so much and hope a sequel comes out. I really feel this book should be printed, I’d read it over and over again. The book is long but it’s well worth it.
Therese Dahlqvist
The author has a fantastic ability to keep me on the edge of my seat and a great ability to describe the scenery around the characters. I find the characters to be mostly well defined and consistent throughout the book. There are some typos and incorrect grammar, but not enough to disturb me complet

The Gift and the Ghoul

The Gift and the Ghoul

I had no choice, so I dug through every gift Zoe had ever given me, but I found nothing. Just when I was about to give up, I shook a pillow, and a tiny paper figure floated out. Its face was drawn to resemble Lucas, and his birth details were written on the back! The fortune teller exclaimed, “That’s it! The lock and the paper figure work together, and since you've touched the lock, the effect on you is stronger. Luckily, you found it early.” I broke out in a cold sweat. That same day, I slipped the paper figure under Miles’ pillow and instructed my parents to watch him while he slept.

Haunted Roommate: She's the Ghost Who Babysits Me

Haunted Roommate: She's the Ghost Who Babysits Me

When I turned back around, I noticed a new note pinned to the table. It was the same familiar handwriting, but the strokes seemed to carry a hint of chill this time. "Squanderer." I froze, then started laughing out loud. So this ghost couldn't just cook—she was also a thrifty, budget-conscious woman. I liked that. I immediately grabbed a pen and wrote back, "Sorry, Ivy. I was just joking. From now on, let's stick to regular dishes. I won't bring up such ridiculous things anymore." I made sure to apologize sincerely.

Lunar Blessed

Lunar Blessed

“I said no violence here!” The Victor-thing clawed its way out of the pool again. Half of its face was melted away by Tamara's power, showing the metal skull underneath. But it kept coming. “Can't stop me,” it gurgled. “DSC made me perfect.” The walls began to bleed. Not blood, but something darker. Shadow stuff that moved like it was alive. “The Library's angry,” the ghost said. “You need to leave. Now. Before…” The ceiling started to give way. Big chunks of that weird bone-stone crashed down. One hit the Victor-thing, crushing its left arm. It didn't even slow down.
